Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Goodyear Endurance ST235-85R16 Radial Trailer Tire on this 16-inch Eagle Aluminum Wheel. Now this radial trailer tire does come premounted on this 16-inch black machined aluminum wheel with an eight on six and 1/2-inch bolt pattern. So whether you're replacing a worn out setup or you're prepping a new trailer, you're gonna be able to save time and skip the hassle of separate mounting and inflation with this assembly. So this assembly is designed for the open road.
This Goodyear Endurance Radial Tire is going to stay stable at highway speeds up to 87 miles per hour with enhanced tracking, traction and durability. The double steel belts, the triple polyester plies and the nylon overlays and the dura wall, dura wall, sidewalls all are gonna work together to resist damage and heat buildup. So as I mentioned at the beginning of our time together and as we have stamped in our tire, this is an ST235-85R16. This is a load range e-tire, meaning it has a 10-ply rating. The maximum load capacity is 3,640 pounds at 80 PSI.
And as I mentioned, this has a speed rating of N, indicating a maximum speed of 87 miles per hour. Now, taking a brief closeup look here at this wheel, this black machined Eagle aluminum wheel is going to help resist rust and road grime with this really great finish on here. While the steel lug nut inserts are going to protect the bolt holes and help reduce the need for frequent re-torquing. The measurements, the dimensions of our wheel, measuring bead seat to bead seat, that diameter is 16 inches. The width of the wheel is seven inches.
And in case you don't know in regards to the bolt hole pattern, I did mention that it was an eight on six and 1/2 inch. The first number in the bolt pattern is obviously the number of bolt holes, but the second number is the diameter in inches of the circle on which the bolt holes sit. So to determine the bolt circle diameter on wheels with an even number of bolt holes as we have here, you simply measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the bolt hole directly across from it. The wheel stud size is 1/2 an inch by 20 or 9/16ths of an inch by 18. The capacity of this wheel is 4,080 pounds.
This does not come with the center cap, but if you decide to pick one up, you just wanna make sure that it fits the pilot diameter of 4.88 inches. Arrived as promised. The associates I spoke with over the phone were super helpful and assured me that the tires would not be old, so that I should have a full use of the tires for up to 5-6 years. The tires' oldest DOT manufacture date was 0925 (Jan/Feb 2025) on one tire (that'll be my spare), the other two tires 2825 (last week of July 2025) is acceptable -indicating they're ~6 months old. etrailer has always been excellent to deal with, and the web site information super useful.
