Standard steel springs don’t stand a chance against saltwater or road chemicals, but the dacromet finish on this 6-leaf spring does. It’s marine-grade and proven to last up to 744 hours in salt-spray testing, so it holds up where zinc coatings fail. That means no more flaking, rusting, or repainting every season—just a solid, rust-resistant suspension ready for water launches or winter roads.

A tired suspension can make your trailer bounce and sway. This double-eye spring has a 3,500-lb spring capacity (7,000-lb per axle) with six 3/8"-thick leaves to keep things firm and even. It soaks up shock and flexes just enough to keep your trailer tracking straight and riding steady over rough pavement or washboard roads.
When it’s time to swap out old springs, size matters. This one measures 24-7/8" from center to center, 1-3/4" wide, and includes 9/16"-diameter nylon-bushed eyes (11/16" without bushings). The geometry matches existing hangers and hardware, so it fits cleanly with your current setup for a proper, level stance.

Upgrading to dacromet-coated steel means less time spent fighting corrosion and more time towing. The sturdy build and rust-proof finish extend service life, cutting down on replacement cycles and maintenance costs. It’s a straightforward way to keep your trailer’s suspension solid and dependable mile after mile.

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this etrailer DACROMET six leaf double eye leaf spring for your 7,000 pound trailer axles. Now this double eye leaf spring is going to act as part of your trailer suspension system by providing an attachment point for a 7,000 pound axle. This is made of sturdy steel construction and it is designed to flex to absorb road shock and give you a smooth ride, reducing wear and tear on your trailer. And this is going to ensure a level ride on bumpy and uneven surfaces.
This spring will resist rust and corrosion with this DACROMET finish. And this finish has a salt spray rating of 700 hours. And this will be excellent for boat trailers or any trailer that's regularly exposed to salt treated roads. This double eye leaf spring is going to attach to hangers that are welded onto your trailer, on one end of the spring, will attach directly to the, one end of the spring, rather will attach directly to the hanger with the suspension bolt. And then the other end will attach to shackle straps that are suspended from a hanger.
And then these straps will allow the spring to move and pivot so that it can better compensate for uneven pavement. Now if you have a tandem or triple axle trailer, the shackle straps will be attached to the equalizer that connects multiple springs. If you're in need of hangers, suspension bolts, or equalizers, you can find 'em right here at etrailer.com. Now in the eyes on each end are pre-installed nylon bushings. The eye diameter with the bushing is 9/16 of an inch and without the bushing it's 11/16 of an inch.
So again, this is a one, two, three, four, five, six leaf spring and it has a leaf thickness of 3/8 of an inch. And this has a spring capacity of 3,500 pounds and paired with another spring, this is designed for a 7,000 pound trailer axle. And then let me go ahead and give you the measurement of this spring. I'm gonna be measuring center of eye to center of eye. So on centers, I hope you can see there we're sitting pretty close to 24 7/8 inches.
And then the spring width, which you won't be able to see, there is about one and seven, oh, I'm sorry, 1 3/4 inches wide on that spring width. Now take a look at this product page to help you determine how to measure for the replacement spring. We've got some steps there that you can follow to measure your current spring to make sure that you're getting the right new spring or the right replacement spring based on the measurements that you take. Of course, to ensure proper alignment and suspension performance, leaf springs should always be replaced in pairs. But I think that's gonna wrap up our quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

Shipped and arrived quickly. Perfect fit. Best looking springs I ever purchased. Looking forward to see how they last.
Good finish hope they last on my saltwater trailer
Love my new leaf springs and all other parts I ordered from trailer, can’t wait to get back to traveling and making memories, thank you to trailer and Wild RV Life for introducing me to etrailer
I love the look of the Dacromet coating!
This is not rust resistant, lasted couple of times, and I do pressure wash every time when I take the boat out of the water
Just installed the new springs and haven't got to use the trailer yet, but shipping was quick and the springs look good and installed as easy as expected.
These new springs, along with a host of other new parts gave our vintage trailer the lift and stability we needed. Price was decent, shipping was quick. We are very happy with the new suspension.
Items fit perfectly. Shipping time was great and communication was very good and helpful.
Arrived on time...nicely packaged...exactly as described...no complaints...will use etrailer in the future...!
Thanks
Leaf springs arrived fast and fit perfect...i haven't had any issues with it...i would definitely recommend etrailer !!!
I’m disappointed in Etrailer. I have ordered hundreds maybe thousands of dollars of product from them. I made a mistake on this one as I measured and it looked like this product would fit. Etrailer wants to charge me $[XX] to ship the items back. More than 50% of the value of the product. They did not offer store credit, replacement item or anything to assist me. Just make sure it’s new and pay $[XX] to ship back. Very disappointed.
The springs arrived quickly and were well packed (each one wrapped in several layers of tissue paper, and individually boxed). The size was a very good match to the springs I needed to replace, and came with nylon bushings pre-installed. The finish looks good, but only time will tell if they resist rust as hoped.
After pulling out the first old spring, I decided to install new heavy duty shackles, bronze bushings, and wet bolts (rather than just getting new nuts for the existing set). The Dexter tandem axle kit was also quickly delivered.
etrailer really came thru for me,originally the wrong springs were ordered.but etrailer was really quick at getting everything squared away. Gabby was great at getting the correct springs to me and even quicker than expected. These dacromet springs look great and come in a double box wrapped in paper to keep them nice.I really like that.Overall very happy
Saltwater springs look great I went from 3 leaf to 4 leaf and giving me much better tire to fender clearance
Quick delivery, frequent great communication update and excellent trailer springs
It’s been a year now and the springs are holding up very well. My boat goes in the saltwater twice a week. The spring rate seems to be the same they’re not flattening out at all yet. As far as the rust resistant, it’s hard to get anything except stainless that won’t rust at some point. These are holding up well but are starting to show some rust spot here and there. Again it’s a saltwater boat trailer and used quite often. I would buy these again when needed. If I have to guess I’d say I will change them out in 3 years or so given the wear they have on them at this point.
So far, so good. These leaf springs are for a 3,500lb, single-axle camper rated at 4,000lbs (Wolf Pup 16FQ). I like the Dacromet coating and I hope that it will provide years of corrosion-free operation. The springs were packaged well, the brass bushings pushed in easily enough with a bigass C-clamp, and the installs on both sides went exactly as planned, no surprises.
I also got the Dexter upgraded shackle and wet-bolt kit; those shackles are massive at a full 1/2" thickness. And, of course, the bolts were sized for the fatter width. JUST REMEMBER, do not grease the top wet bolt on the back hanger because it's open to the air; there's no bushing there.
I have NOT driven the camper on any trip yet, and I cringe as I see my unit about 4" higher than it was. I had one broken spring on the passenger side and the driver side was nearly flat. I upgraded my springs from 1,750lbs to 2,500lbs with this purchase, and the camper seems to sit very well now, albeit higher.
All-in-all, I am pleased with this purchase, and I am pleased with the observable quality of these springs.
Excellent Service as always!!!
As described.
Great service! Next day air was here the next morning.
Like the Rey’s resistant coating on it. Did have to reverse the alignment pin. If need it in a timely manner, don’t let them ship it thru USPS. Took too long to get to me. Just made it to me before we left on a trip.
We have put on 6000 miles since installing
No sagging no breaks and after spending time on the coast no rust

That's awesome to hear! Six thousand miles is a great real-world test, and I'm glad the springs are still holding up so well. Thanks for taking the time to come back and share your experience. What kind of trailer are they on?
