Lumens are used to measure the amount of usable light that is put out by a light source. Raw lumens represent the number of lumens that the manufacturer claims the LEDs are capable of producing. It does not include the light's drive method or the amount of light lost from the lens or reflector. Effective lumens take these factors into account and represent the number of lumens that are actually produced by the complete light assembly, not just the amount of light that the diodes are capable of producing. This light has a 2,160 raw lumen capacity and produces 1,492 effective lumens.

Today, we're taking a look at the Optronics Opti-bright LED work light. This square work light provides bright, white light for industrial, agricultural, and recreational applications. It does feature a contoured lens that allows for wide angle flood beam viewing. The flood beam illuminates a wide 140 degree area. It also features the durable surface technology when it comes to the construction of the LED circuit board. That better withstands shock and vibration, and allows for overall improved heat distribution.Now, this is a LED system.
LEDs make great replacements for incandescent lights. They last longer, they burn brighter, and they're a lot more efficient. You don't have to worry about replacing bulbs, and you don't have to worry about brittle filaments with LEDs.What I want to do now is I want to go ahead and plug it in for you that way you can see how bright it is. Now, we're in a small space. We're in a studio, so it's really hard to get a good idea of the actual 140 degree area, but this will allow you to see that it is a bright light.So, you can see here, I'm just going to shine it down.
I'm just about a foot away from the surface here. A nice bright design. Has a multi-diode design, so that means that it features multiple LEDs. I think there's nine in this unit. Power drill at 12.8 volts is 1.43 amps, and at 24 volts it's 0.66 amps.
It is compatible with both 12 volt and 24 volt DC systems. It's a nice bright design. It does also feature a durable water resistant construction, so we have a black powder coated dicast aluminum housing. It's very durable and rust proof. Tough, polycarbonate lens is impact resistant, and it has an IP 69K rating which stands up to severe environmental conditions, as well as cleaning methods.Easy installation.
Comes with your mounting bracket. This is a single bolt pedestal style bracket and hardware that's included for installation. This bracket is adjustable, so before you tighten it down, you can pivot it to get the angle you need. Then, that stainless steel hardware to resist rust and corrosion.Now, when it comes to the overall dimensions, I took a measurement with it using the bracket like that. From bottom to top, the overall heights about five inches tall. Then, when it comes to the overall width, it's about three and seven eighths inches wide. Overall depth, measured about two and one quarter inches deep. The light face is a square design, measures about three and nine sixteenths by three and nine sixteenths. The bracket right here, one inch by 11 sixteenths.Now, when it comes to the effective lumen output, that's 1,492 lumens. Raw lumen output is 2,160, and this is an LED system and Optronics covers the LEDs with a lifetime warranty. That's going to do it for today's look at the Opti-bright LED work light from Optronics.

If you have a CB radio, DO NOT GET THIS PRODUCT. I would recommend 09-0205. It is cheeper and has no interference with the CB radio. Yes the led is brighter but you can not drive with them on and 09-0205 has a light cover that is able to block quiet a bit of the light. It is still bright with the cover on.
Excellent light but discovered a problem with my wiring to the switch. Those wires are easily accessible.
I had to splice it into the interior light wire and install switch inside trailer.
The opti brite led work light seems to be plenty bright and well built. The 10" pigtail wire is a joke. You're going to have to connect another wire to it to get it wired up anywhere on a tractor which adds another connection and possible failure. I can't see that 3-5 feet of wire would put the company out of business. Other than that it seems to be a very good work light.

Part was just what we needed
Excellent replacement light for my trailer. Had to upgrade lights on my 16 year old horse trailer. Chose LED and am greatly pleased with this light. Has stood the test of time.
Very easy to install. Replaced on one side of the back of my horse trailer. Exc coverage of the area for loading horses etc . Thinking of replacing the other side. Not sure I’ll need to now.
I replaced a halogen external light fixture on my horse trailer with this model LED light fixture several months ago. It is brighter, instant on and lower energy usage which are all positives especially for the battery when the trailer is disconnected. I ordered 2 more to replace the other external halogen light fixtures on my horse trailer. Good lighting is especially important when you need to access your trailer with your horse after sundown. Also easy to install.
I installed these on the back of my boat trailer and hooked them up to my reverse lights for launching my boat in the dark. I wanted an extremely bright flood so I could see both sides and the down the center. Just wonderfully bright and dependable a year later as when new.

Still going strong. Still water tight as they are submerged each time I launch. It’s unbelievable how far they even work underwater. I witnessed the same lights on the back of my hunting guides’ dog kennels on his pickup We both agreed that they were great.
