This dual-face LED trailer light packs 42 diodes—21 on each side—for bright, even illumination without the heavy power draw of older bulbs. At 12.8V, it only pulls 0.360 amps for stop/turn and 0.030 amps for tail. The LEDs run cooler, last up to 50 times longer than incandescent lights, and never need bulb replacements. With both amber and red lenses over white LEDs, you get efficient light output and dependable visibility from front and back.
Wet conditions are no problem thanks to its sonically sealed lens and housing. Built as a single waterproof unit, this light keeps moisture away from the circuit board and diodes so they won’t short out or corrode. Whether you’re driving through rain or washing down your trailer, it stays sealed tight and ready to go every time.
This light uses a die-cast steel housing that holds up against vibration, shock, and the bumps that come with heavy use. The surface-mount LED circuit board design adds more toughness while keeping the profile slim. It’s a setup that keeps working even when conditions get rough.
The single post mount makes installation simple—just stand it up from the mounting point and secure it with the included hardware. The 3-wire pigtail design handles stop/turn, tail, and ground connections cleanly. At 4-1/2" wide x 4-3/4" tall x 2-1/4" deep, it fits neatly on the driver side with a matching passenger-side unit available separately (STL53ARPB).
Instead of juggling multiple lamps or reflectors, this one covers five functions in one package—stop, turn, tail, parking, side marker—and even includes a built-in reflex reflector so no extra parts are needed for compliance. It’s DOT compliant and made for reliable all-around visibility wherever you need it.

Today, we're going to be reviewing part no. STL53ARDB. This is the dual-face, red and amber, post-mounted LED light for the left-hand side of your trailer. The red side is going to serve three functions, such are your stop, turn and taillight. The amber side is going to serve two functions, such as your parking and rear-turn signal. That's also going to feature the built-in amber side marker light with the reflex reflector. Now this unit is going to contain long-lasting LEDs.
These are going to be great replacements for incandescent lights. The LEDs, featuring multi-diode design, is going to optimize your light output. You don't have to worry about replacing any bulbs, and you don't have to worry about brittle filaments. The LED system is more efficient, which means it's going to provide a brighter light while using less power. It's going to feature a corrosion-resistant design when it comes to the housing. Here at the bottom of the post, it's going to expose the 3-wire design.
It's going to include your ground wire. It's going to include the black wire, which is going to be to run power for the taillight function. It's going to include the red wire, which is going to be for the stop and turn signal functions. This is Department of Transportation approved, so it meets FMVSS 108 requirements in any 360-degree position. It's a nice square shape. If we take a look at the overall dimensions, it's going to give us a width, 4.5 inches; and a height, measuring just the light of 4.5 inches.
If we measure that lip of the housing there, it's going to increase the measurement to 4 3/4 inches in height, and then the depth is going to measure 2 1/4 of an inch. Now it's going to contain 42 diodes, so you're going to have 21 per side. Then you're going to have 3 LEDs here for the side marker light. Here on the red side, the stop signal is going to use 0.182 amps at 12.8 volts, and taillight function is 0.012 amps at 12.8 volts. On the amber side, it's 0.215 amps at 12.8 volts. It is a pedestal-mount installation.
You're going to get a rubber washer, a flat washer, a lock washer and your nut. Then that pedestal is going to measure 2 inches in length. We're going to go and hook up your external power source. That way, you can see what it looks like with power running to it. We're simply just going to connect the ground wire. That's the white wire. It also has a nice sort of ring terminal on it. That way, you can connect it to the correct surface. That will connect the power lead and the stop and turn signal. You can see here, it's going to send out a nice consistent LED signal. You're going to have the amber side, the side marker and the red side. Again, the red side is going to serve 3 functions. It's going to serve for the taillights; your stop signal, which is just going to be a brighter output; and your turn signal. The amber side is going to serve your 2 functions. It's going to do the parking light and the rear-turn signal light. You can see how that illuminates stronger as well. That's going to do it for our review of part no. STL53ARDB. This is the dual-face, red and amber, post-mounted LED light for the left-hand side of your trailer. .

This light has 2 intensities (3 wires). The HIGH intensity is very bright and will be excellent for an amber dust light on the rear of my off-road buggy, which is why I bought it. The LOW intensity is not nearly as bright. Not quite sure what it's for - perhaps a parking light?
I I am very pleased with these lights. I installed then on my travel trailer as side markers. They are very bright, and I see them just fine in the rear-view mirror.
The LED light itself is great. Wiring/Mounting this unit was nothing short of a royal PAIN. I would not buy these again as a result.
I made the mistake of trying to save a couple bucks and bought some junk trailer lights. They fell apart during installation. Then I bought these trailer lights. As soon as you hold them you know they are high quality. Thank goodness there are still companies proudly making durable, high quality products. Please don’t wast your time on anything else.

We love them. They got wet when we put the boat in the water several times & they ARE waterproof! Love the bright LED lights (which are so much brighter that the old lights) & the wiring matched both our tow vehicles! They were a little pricey but in reality, you get what you pay for. I am very satisfied with my experience with etrailer. The parts I received appear to be very good quality. I have not installed them yet though as I am waiting on Hurricane Michael to pass through. However the lights do seem to be very solidly built. I needed this style and etrailer was the one that had it.
I like this light so much I bought one for my neighbor. We don't use them in the traditional way, we use them as "Dust Lights" on the rear of out Polaris RZR off road vehicles. In heavy dust, amber lights can be seen better than any other color. That is why they are required on all off road race vehicles. We don't race, but we do run high speed in dusty conditions and this light has saved the day on more than one occassion. You can see the light mounted on the left rear of the RZR in the attached picture.
This was a total rebuild of my triple axle trailer. I purchased several items for my boat trailer and have been very please with them.

Nice bright LEDs. I thought the housing might be metal but they are plastic. Nice long mounting stud. These replaced lights on top of a fender. The stud was longer than originals and very close to the tire but I didn't have a way to cut them off. Overall I am very pleased with the products and speedy service from e- trailer. I refinished my 35 year old tow dolly instead of buying a new one. New wiring harness lights and safety chains. $120 is much better than $1200 for a new one. Now it's ready for another 35 years.
