Today we're going to be taking a look at part number STL003RFB. This is the Optronics One-series round LED trailer light. It's going to serve as your brake light, your turn signal light, and your tail light. It's going to feature a sealed waterproof housing and lens unit. LEDs are going to be more efficient. They're going to use less power, and they're going to last much longer.
They're going to make for great replacements when it comes to replace your incandescent lighting systems. This uses surface-mount technology so it's going to protect the LEDs from shock and vibration. The diode is actually mounted directly onto the circuit board, so it's going to offer better heat distribution. It's going to allow for an overall thinner construction, and it's going to help withstand bumps and shaking. The One-series is going to contain 1 LED. It's going to last longer. You don't have to worry about replacing your bulbs, you don't have to worry about brittle filaments, and they're much more efficient. We're going to have a sturdy poly-carbonate lens and housing unit.
We've got the red lens with the black housing. Here on the back side we're going to have the standard plug. This is going to accept your industry standard 3-prong plug. That's going to be sold separately. You can find those here on our website.
It's going to have the built-in flange for installation. That's going to contain 3 mount holes. It is Department of Transportation compliant. We're going to go over some basic measurements real quick, starting with the diameter of just the lens area. That's going to give us a diameter of about 4 1/4 of an inch. Overall diameter including the mounting flange, we're looking at about 5 1/2 inches.
If we take a look at the overall depth, it's going to give us a measurement of about 1 3/4 of an inch from the front of the light to the back of the plug. If we take a measurement from this area right here, so measuring the inner part of that flange to the same point on the opposite side, that's going to give us a measurement of about 4 1/2 inches. Our mounting holes, these are going to be separated on center, apart from one another, by 4 1/4 of an inch. That's going to be the same distance between each mounting hole. And those mounting holes are going to give us a diameter of about 3/16 of an inch. Now your mounting hardware is not including, so that will need to be provided separately. Optronics is going to put a lifetime warranty on the LED system. Let's go ahead and hook it up to our external power source, that way you can see what it looks like with power running to it. Simply just take our 3-prong plug, place it into the connection point here at the back of the light, push it all the way. It creates a really nice, tight seal. Then we can turn off our overhead lights to see it in a low-light setting. This is going to be the tail-light or running light function, and then when we apply our brakes, you can see how that increases the signal output for a brighter signal. It's going to do that when we activate our turn signals as well. (pause) That's going to do it for today's look at part number STL003RFB. This is the Optronics One-series round LED trailer light.

I have used many of the Optronics LED lights. Good brightness, good prices, seem fairly durable. These were going on the back corners of a hitch cargo carrier.
Just be aware that this is called a surface mount, but has the wires out the back. You will need a hole in the panel to route wires, or a spacer to lift off the surface. I wanted a true surface mount with wires out the side of the light. I made it work. No issues with the light, just need the catalog listing edited to be clear.

The lights finally got here----weather/USPS/UPS problems----the lights are great and better still was the price---saved a bunch and since I have to replace them often (I break them often because of where the trailer is used) this will make it easy and cheaper to do so.
Slightly smaller would have saved from having to grind a bigger hole on the trailer
no plugs connector to use them with.
I’ve used this light on two of my vintage campers. I like the it uses one led bulb in the center so it’s more inline with the original. Great product and I will be using them on my next camper.
Quality of the product (wheel hubs with bearings) is far greater than others I have purchased at twice the price. The LED tail lights are again excellent and for the price I will buy many more. The hubs are being used on a 3/4 scale WWII Jeep the front axle, as well as the tail lights.

I like these LED taillights for the "older" look I have with my 1958 CJ-6 Jeep. They are not blind the person behind you bright, but they are a great replacement for old incandescent type taillights, with less amp draw and long life span. I would recommend them for an old style build with new LED technology.

If you are looking for a brighter 4 round LED light, I recommend part # STL42RB. Part STL42RB is designed with 10 super light-emitting diodes. You will need a pigtail part # A45PB to install it.
