The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.
A P2-rated light produces a 45-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side. So this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it cannot function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install 2 separate lights on your trailer - one as a front or rear clearance light and one as a side marker light.
Surface-mount trailer lights install using a flange or bracket with mounting holes. These lights lay flat against the trailer surface and only require a small, often pre-existing hole, for wiring. Mounting hardware is used to secure the light to the trailer.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look at this Miro-Flex Submersible Red Lens LED Clearance or Side Marker Light with Black Bezel. Now, with this little oval waterproof LED trailer light, you're gonna be able to haul safer by alerting other drivers of your trailer's position and direction of travel. As you can see, I have this connected to my 12-volt power supply already. I just wanted to give you a brief demonstration of what this looks like so you see what it looks like with my studio lights on, but lemme go ahead and turn them off to give you a better demonstration of what this is going to look like in the dark. I'm just gonna shine that on the wall behind me just to kind of give you an idea of how much light it puts out.
And then lemme see if I can give you a closeup view here without blinding you too much. So, this oval LED trailer light functions as either a clearance or side marker light, and the Miro-Flex Faceted Reflector is gonna give you increased light output with a contemporary appearance. The three white LEDs can cast up to 50, or can last rather, up to 50 times longer than incandescent lights, and they're gonna be more efficient, provide brighter light with less power output, and there's no bulbs to replace, no brittle filaments to worry about. So, this is a P2-rated light. What does that mean Well, this produces a 45-degree angle of light to either side of its center line for a total of 90 degrees of coverage.
The beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side, as you can see. So, this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it can't function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install two separate lights on your trailer. One is the front, or rear clearance light, and one is the side marker light. Now, this light does feature a sonically sealed waterproof housing.
I'm gonna go ahead and shut that off there so I'm not continuing to blind you there. And so, this is going to allow this unit to be submersible, and this black bezel is snap-on. And so, that's going to give that light a nice, finished look, as you can see. And this is going to mount onto the surface of your trailer. Note, you're not gonna get any hardware, so you would just have to source that locally.
Whatever's gonna work best for your particular application. And again, this is going to be a red lens over white LEDs. And this is a two-pigtail connection, the two-wire pigtail connection here, so it's gonna just hard-wire into your trailer. As you can see, the color of the wires are the same, so it doesn't matter which one's gonna be ground or power. And let me go ahead and give you some measurements. Let me see if I can successfully line this ruler up here for you just so you can get a good idea of the size. So, the overall length, we are sitting slightly over four inches. The overall width at the widest point, about 1 3/8 inches. The thickness, again, it's kinda tricky here, with the shape. I'm gonna say, let's call it about 3 1/4-inches thick. And the distance between those mounting holes on center, lemme see if I can show that to you real quick. Lining that up, on center. How about 3 1/8 inches You do get a lifetime warranty on the LEDs. If you have any other questions about this light or any of the other many, many lights that we carry here at etrailer.com, don't hesitate to reach out to us, 'cause ultimately we wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you want and need. Well, I think it's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.
Good quailty. Looks great.
