Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Optronics Opti Bright LED Dome light. This is designed for use in extreme temperatures so it's ideal for refrigerated trucks and trailers. It will withstand temperatures from negative 40 degrees fahrenheit to positive 140 degrees fahrenheit. Directly in the center it features the motion sensor so the light will come on automatically when motion is detected. Operating voltage is 7 to 30 volts DC. Voltage cutoff at 7 volts prevents battery drain.
So again, voltage cutoff is at 7 volts direct current and that prevents battery drain.You can use this with 12 volt and 24 volt DC systems. The light output remains consistent at all operating voltages and cuts off when the voltage is outside of range. Now this is an LED system. LED's make great replacements for incandescent lights. They last longer, they burn brighter and they are much more efficient.
You don't have to worry about replacing bulbs and you don't have to worry about brittle filaments with LED systems.It's a two wire design so you have you have your white wire, which is ground and black wire which is your power lead. And on the ends of the wiring we have the .180 male bullet connectors. If you don't want those on there, you can cut them off, strip back the wiring for hard wire applications. It features polycarbonate lens and housing, it's very strong and durable. We're looking at a clear lens with a white base.
When it comes to the installation, that's a recess mount installation. Mounting hardware not included but you will need to cutout for this portion right here in order for the light to sit flush.Now when it comes to the overall dimension. I took a measurement from edge to edge, got a measurement of 18 1/4" long. Side to side, we're looking at about 5 3/4" wide. And the overall thickness, or the overall depth, so from very front to very back is 1 1/8" thick.
Now from the installation surface to the front of the unit is only about 3/8" thick. So it's a nice low profile design once installed. The mount holds on the unit. You can see you have numerous mount holes around the perimeter of the light. These holes right here are separated on center by 2 3/16", these are separated on center by 4 3/4" and then this set to this set on center is 17 1/8". Your cutout needs to measure around 16 1/2" long by 4" wide.We're going to go and hook it up to power, that way you can see what it looks like with some power running to it. We'll also be able to turn off our overhead lights so you can see it in a lower light setting. So you can see here it sends out a very bright consistent signal. It's a nice bright light that has multiple LED's or multiple daioids so the multi daioids design helps optimize the overall light output. The raw lumen, when it comes to the brightness the raw lumen is 1400. Effective lumen output is 990. Power draw at 12.8 volts, 1.61 amps. Power draw at 24 volts 0.80 amps. I installed a couple of them in our NT37 bilge areas. Being able to see while crawling around in a confined space without a flashlight is important and these LED lights take so little current. Great product. Easy to mount, good light output for the current, and very little heat generated.
Mounted 2 in 24' boxtruck. Works great. Just centered two running the long way. Could use a third if u planned to work inside with roll-up door closed. 6 would be amazing but I'm very happy with two. Appear to be good quality. The joists on the ceiling of our truck are 22.5" center to center so I made small sheet metal extensions to make them longer but they work fine just a little fabrication. Went through a few cheaper options but returned them all. These actually light the box up very well and good spread of light either parralel with truck or horizontally mounted. I mounted them the long way for ease but didn't seem to make much difference in the lighting either way.
Added 4 of these during a rustic hunting cabin lighting project. These are for the shed and provide awesome lighting. I didn't realize the back side of the shed door was cream colored because we never closed the door before due to needing all the light we could get. Because it is a shed and we run these off of batteries I used a standard bathroom fan timer switch to make sure the lights don't get left on forever.

These were all taken in the complete dark. No other lights around. When I was contemplating buying them, I wondered what they would look like on the outside of the trailer. These are fantastic. Replaced two main lights, both controlled by a wall mounted switch, in our 21' travel trailer. The additional light from these is amazing. We can now see inside the cupboards and closets without needing a flashlight. Installation was easy and straightforward, just remember that LEDs are polarity specific. Also keep in mind that these do not have a switch in them, which is why I only replaced the two main lights. We like them so well we just ordered another to replace the bathroom light, also controlled by a wall switch. I would replace all the lights with these if they had internal switches.
I installed 4 of these lights low on the wall to assist in lighting the tie down anchors and straps in my car hauler trailer. They are very bright and easy to mount with 4 screws. These 4 lights and the 3 ceiling lights that I purchased from etrailer.com work great in making an enclosed trailer very bright inside. The surface mount makes these lights AAA+.
I replaced the regular lighting in my Living Quarters shower stall with this light. What a different this makes for this small space!
We installed about 12 of these in our remote rustic off grid backwoods cabin. They work great and only use a small amount of 12v power, .7 amps I think. They are very bright and have a built in switch. We use them inside and on our covered porch. They seem to be very well made. The light is very bright, but not blue-white like some LEDs. I highly recommend them and etrailer. In the cabin photo, there are 6 lights on, two on the porch and 4 inside the cabin.

Aloha! I am glad I found your product via internet search for lights. I
wanted to replace the battery powered interior light in my camper shell. I am tired of dead and leaking batteries which finally killed my light fixture. A little work to run a hot wire from the battery area along the frame into the truck bed, but worth it. I am using heavy duty Velcro loop portions to hold the wires to the camper shell liner: works very well. The light is very bright and really lights up the bed as well as the rear of the truck. I will definitely enjoy it.
Added these to a 7’x16’ +2’V enclosed trailer. Plenty of light now, great for loading and unloading in the dark or checking on things from the side door,
