This oval 4-1/4" x 1-11/16" Millennium M5 light uses amber LEDs that shine brighter while drawing less power—only 0.033 amps at 12.8V. That means you get excellent visibility without taxing your electrical system. If your trailer is ever exposed to rain or water, this light is built to handle it. The housing and lens are sealed together, keeping the internal circuit board protected from water intrusion. Even when submerged, the diodes and electronics stay safe from damage. For anyone who deals with wet roads or boat ramps, that sealed construction means dependable lighting every time you need it.
Mounting this light is straightforward. It surface mounts flat against your trailer using a flange with mounting holes spaced 3-1/8" center to center. The 2-wire design with 0.180" male bullets makes wiring simple—just connect power and ground and you’re done. The chrome bezel adds a clean, finished look once installed, making it both functional and sharp-looking on the trailer’s surface.
The P2 rating means this light provides a 45-degree spread of light to either side of center for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. That focused beam makes it perfect as a clearance or side marker light, giving other drivers clear visibility of your trailer from the front or rear angles. When properly mounted, it delivers dependable illumination that meets DOT standards for safety.

Today we're taking a look at the Optronics Millennium M5 LED Clearance or Side Marker light. This is an amber light. It features an oval LED design, so the oval LED trailer light functions as a clearance or side marker light when properly mounted on your trailer. It does come with the chrome bezel which provides a finished look that's gonna cover the installation hardware. It does feature a sealed waterproof housing and lens unit. It's LED, so LEDs make great replacements for incandescent lights, they last longer, they burn brighter and they're more efficient.
With LEDs you don't have to worry about replacing bulbs and you don't have to worry about brittle filaments.We're looking at a durable, polycarbonate housing and lens unit. We do have a clear lens over amber LEDs, and this is compatible with 12 volt DC systems. It's a two mount hole design. Surface mount installation, mounts directly to the surface of the trailer. Mounting hardware not included.
It's a two wire design, so one wire's your power wire, the other one's your ground wire, and the wires have the 0.180 male bullet connectors on 'em. It's department and transportation compliant, and it is a P2 rated light. When it comes to the dimensions, measuring edge to edge going this direction, it's about four and one quart inches. Edge to edge going this direction is about one and .. see there it's about one and three eighths to one and seven 16ths.
It's only about three quarters of an inch thick, so it is a nice load profile unit.The mount holes are separated on center by three and one eighth inches. We're gonna go and hook it up to power, that way you can see what it looks like with power running to it. We'll also turn off our overhead light so you can see it in a low light setting. So you can see here it sends out a really nice, clear, consistent signal. It's a three diode design, and again, it has a clear lens with the amber LEDs.
Power draw at 12.8 volts, 0.033 amps, and Optronics puts a lifetime warranty on the LEDs. That's gonna do it for today's look at the Millennium M5 LED Clearance or Side Marker Light.
