Switching from incandescent to LED is a big upgrade in both brightness and efficiency. This Command Electronics oval light puts out clear brake, tail, and turn signals using 22 white LEDs behind a red lens. It runs on 12V DC systems and only draws 0.45 amps when fully illuminated, so it’s easy on your wiring while staying highly visible day or night. The low-voltage design is super efficient and built to last far longer than filament bulbs.
Rain, spray, or even full submersion won’t bother this light. The housing is sealed to keep water and moisture out, making it great for boat trailers or anywhere exposure is common. The polycarbonate base and acrylic lens form a durable pair that resists cracking or clouding, keeping your signals bright for the long haul.
Mounting is straightforward thanks to the built-in flange that doubles as the rear reflex reflector. That means there’s no extra bracket or trim piece needed—just secure the light to a flat surface and hook up the 3-wire pigtail (white for ground, brown for tail, red for stop/turn). It can be mounted horizontally or vertically depending on your setup, giving you flexibility without extra parts.
Safety standards aren’t an afterthought here. This LED tail light meets DOT and SAE requirements and complies with FMVSS 108 for road lighting equipment. That compliance confirms it’s built for dependable performance and visibility under real-world conditions.
Sometimes space is tight on the rear frame or fender area. At just 7-1/2" long, 3-1/4" wide, and only 11/16" thick with a 7" wire lead, this oval light fits snugly without sticking out or snagging. Its clean profile gives you a solid lighting upgrade without changing the overall look of your trailer.

Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the Oval Red Lens four function LED trailer tail light. Now this oval trailer light serves four functions. Stop light, turn signal light, tail light and a rear reflex reflector. Now, LEDs will make great replacements for incandescent lights. They last about 50 times longer. They are more efficient so they provide better light with less power output.
And the nice thing is there's no bulbs to replace with no brittle filaments. This is red LEDs with a red lens. This is designed to mount on the surface of the trailer, with this built-in flange around the edge here. Now a surface mount light will install flat against the surface of the trailer, so that a hole does not need to be cut into the trailer for the light. This type of light is installed using this built-in flange with the mounting holes. Now the mounting hardware is used to secure the light to the trailer.
The mounting hardware is not included. This can be mounted either horizontally or vertically. It is a three-wire design. The white wire is your ground. Brown wire is for your tail lights, red wire is for your stop and turn signal lights. This light is SAE approved, also Department of Transportation complaint, does meet the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards 108 requirements for automotive lighting.
And it is assembled in the USA.Dimensions on this, the overall length, edge to edge, is going to be right at seven and a half inches long. The width on it is right at three and a quarter inches wide, and the total depth of the light is going to be right at 11 inaudible 00:01:32 inches deep. The pigtail wire length is seven inches, and it does have 22 diodes. So what we're going to do now is I'm going to hook this up to some 12 volt power and just show you how bright the light is. So we'll go ahead and hook our ground up. White wire's our ground wire.
And we'll go ahead and hook up our tail lights. And then last we'll go ahead and hook up our brake and turn signal lights. And what I'm going to go ahead and do is turn on the 12 volt power. That'll show you how bright the lights are. We'll go ahead and turn off the overhead lights, and there's your tail light function. Then we'll go ahead and do the brake function. And you can see how much bright it gets with the brakes. Turn your brakes on. Then we'll go ahead and do the turn signal. There's your turn signal function. And turn back on our overhead lights. Disconnect it. But that should do it for the review on the Oval Red Lens four function LED trailer tail light.
