Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly for 7,000 pound axles. The oil bath trailer hub and drum assembly provides surface area for your brake shoes to grip when your brake is activated. It's compatible with electric and hydraulic drum brakes. It's a cast iron construction. Very strong and very durable. This portion of the unit is stamped on there, Made in the U.S.A.
Again, cast iron, protective coating to keep it safe from rust and corrosion. Now with this you get the bearings, the races. You get the oil seal, oil cap, wheel bolts, and lug nuts. All of that's included. The hub and drum are made in the U.S.A. It's designed for 7,000 pound axles and the drum dimensions ...
I'm going to take a diameter measurement of that real quick. That's just inside edge to inside edge which measures 12 inches. So it's a 12-inch diameter. It measures two inches wide. It does work with 12-inch brake assemblies.
The bolt pattern on the unit is 8 on 6 1/2 inches and the wheel bolt diameter is 5/8.Again, it comes with the actual lug nuts. It comes with the inner and outer bearings. It comes with a seal and then it comes with the oil cap. It threads right on to the end of the unit here. And then you have the rubber plug, which can be easily removed whenever you need to fill it or maintenance or whatever.
That can be tightened using a large wrench. That's going to do it for today's look at the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly for 7,000 pound axles.
