Tired of mud and rocks splattering your gear or hitting the car behind you? This single-axle fender keeps the mess off your trailer and cargo and gives your trailer a nice finished look.
When replacing your trailer fender, do your best to match the dimensions of the new fender to your old one. If your fender was damaged in a blowout, you can use the opposite fender to get the right measurements. Before you get started, always chock your wheels for safety. If you are installing a bolt-on fender, use your existing mounting hardware if possible, but be prepared to replace any bolts or screws that are stripped or rusted. If you need to remove an old, welded-on fender, you can carefully chisel it off yourself or take your trailer to a weld shop for professional removal. Do not forget to prime and paint the new fender to prevent rust and match your trailer's finish. Before drilling any holes, position the fender exactly where you want it and center it over your wheel well, marking your spots carefully. Measure twice and drill once. Finally, wait to fully tighten down the mounting hardware until you are sure the fender is mounted just right.

Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at a CE Smith Single Axle Trailer Fender. That's right, folks, this is gonna be 28 inches long overall, nine inches wide, and 11 inches tall. So folks, round trailer fenders will cover one tire on your single axle trailer. It will act as a splash guard to keep road debris, grime from hitting your vehicle, other vehicles, and all your gear.
It is made of high-quality metal, and you don't have to worry about rust or corrosion as long as you powder coat, or sorry, as long as you prime it and then paint it. So it's gonna come with a light oil on it, so you do need to wipe that off, clean it off with a solvent of some type, maybe brake cleaner or something of that nature. And then make sure you prime it and paint it after you've got it installed. It does not come pre-drilled, so if you want to bolt it on, you would have to drill holes and use mounting brackets and hardware, that's sold separately. Or you can just simply weld it on, if you so choose.
Now, if you have a damaged fender, I recommend measuring the good side or the good fender on the opposing side of that axle to get your measurements correctly. And again, this one is 28 inches wide overall, side to side, 11 inches tall, and nine inches wide. Well, folks, I think that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look together. If you've got questions about how to measure your fender or about any of the products here, just reach out to us. We'd be more than happy to assist you.
I'm Steven. Have a good one.
