From open highways to tough job sites, this aluminum cap delivers waterproof protection you can trust. One look through the clear lens shows your oil or grease level so you know you're ready to go further without worry.
Replaces the oil bath/grease cap, O-ring, and plug on these axles:
Cap is a direct replacement for these Dexter or Valcrum oil caps:
Say goodbye to leaks, milky oil, and all the headaches that come with water finding its way into your hub. A tight O-ring, gasket, and precision threading lock out water and road grime, while the red button on the vent plug works as a check valve. This lets built-up pressure escape but keeps water from ever getting in. Drive through thunderstorms, launch at the boat ramp, or tackle muddy job sites knowing your bearings and hub are protected.
The magnetic plug sits inside the cap and collects metal shavings and debris. When you check the plug during maintenance, you get an early warning about unusual bearing or axle wear. This lets you catch small issues before they turn into expensive repairs. In addition, the crystal-clear window makes it easy to check your oil or grease level in seconds. Just take a look and know you're running with the right amount of lubricant, helping you avoid surprise breakdowns.
Top up or change lubricant through the side access port. There's no need to remove the cap or risk damaging your seals. You save time, avoid mess, and lower the risk of improper installation.

Hi everyone, Steven here with etrailer. Let's take a look at our Valcrum Hydro Shield, waterproof. It's aluminum, it's an oil or a grease cap for nine to 15,000 pound axles. So folks with this, you are gonna get amazing waterproof protection. It uses a tight O-ring included, a gasket and precision threading that's gonna lock out water, road grime, while the red button here in the front is also a vent plug that works as a check valve. So this will let built up pressure escape, and it's also gonna keep water from ever getting in.
So this is a direct fit replacement, meaning it can replace your factory oil bath, grease caps, O-ring, and plug for select axles. And what's cool about this also is you have a drain and fill plug here, that is magnetized, it has a little magnet built in there, which I like because it's gonna catch little shavings or anything like that that's potentially in there swirling around. And it has a clear viewing lens, so you can easily look in there and say, "Oh, I don't have that milky, watery dirty oil. Everything looks great, crisp, clean, and now I know I'm good to go on these long hauls." And that's gonna be great for safety and longevity of your equipment. So one of the biggest things, in my opinion, from what I've talked to with the installers here at etrailer, most people just don't do preventative maintenance, unfortunately, and that's potentially what causes a lot of bearing failures and those kind of things.
Even if you're not using your trailer constantly, you always, always wanna check your bearings and your seals and everything at least once a year, if not more, to make sure everything's going good and looks good and clean. So folks that will wrap up our quick look together at this Valcrum Hydro Shield waterproof oil or grease cap. I'm Steven with etrailer. Stay safe while you're towing and reach out if you have any questions or concerns. Have a good one.

I'm am looking forward to see if they work as advertised. I tow a 40'boat all the time and have had nothing but bearing problems. Water has been getting into the bearings rusting and destroying them. Staff was a great help as well.
