Use the Cross Reference to Match the Seal You Have

Seal numbers are not always listed the same way across axle and hub brands, so the cross-reference data gives you another way to confirm the replacement before the hub comes apart. This grease seal matches the following common seal numbers:

Brand Part Number
Chicago Rawhide/SKF --
Dexter SL275, 161200
Lippert --
National/Timken --
NOK AR7302E, AR7302E0
Transcom 27372VHY

How to Measure for a Replacement Seal

Measuring a spindle

Use a digital caliper and measure to the nearest thousandth of an inch.

  • Seal I.D.: Measure the diameter of the spindle at the grease seal seat (B), where the seal rides.
  • Seal O.D.: Remove the old seal and measure the inside diameter of the hub bore where the seal presses into the hub.

Measure each location in a few spots to check for wear or an out-of-round surface. Match both measurements to the replacement seal.

Very informative web page, and helpful customer review blog. You can find almost any trailer question you may have. These hard to find grease seals were readily available and fit perfect. I used them for my 1986 boat trailer conversion project.

by:

Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks

by:

This was a difficult item to find except on etrailer. All bearing kits for my hubs come with 1-1/4" ID seals, etrailer was the only place that had them. Received my order within a matter of days. Great customer service.

by:

Perfect fit on my trailer I bought different seal in my locals autopart and don’t it fit, thanks to etrailer.com because is the only one have this particular grease seal fit in my boat trailer ?? and shipping was very fast 5 stars.

by:

They got my order out quickly.

by:

Perfect! A picture is worth a thousand words. :)

by:

Seal seems fine but does not fit my hub with a 14125A inner bearing. Needed a different brand seal.

by:

None of the parts have numbers on them. I guessing they are the right ones. This is my only concern. It’s been my experience that the numbers are stamped on the parts.
Thanks

by:

Item was exactly as described. Shipping was fast

by:

Exact fit that I need for the magic tilt trailer

by:

I appreciate the fast shipping!

by:

Didn’t get all the items I asked for . Received bearings without races and races without the correct bearing. Reorder the items missing the day I received the first order.

by:

These grease seals were hard to find, but etrailer had them in stock. They fit a 1979 EZ Loader boat trailer with twin 6 lug axles. My vintage boat trailer uses the typical 5200# wheel bearings, but uses a smaller O.D. grease seal than most similar boat trailers.

by:

Chris was a huge help when I ordered these. I told him we have some pretty solid trailer parts suppliers in town, but they all struck out on this. He made sure I got the correct parts. I’ve already installed them, and it seems to be a proper fit.

by:

All of the replacement parts were correct thanks to Ric’s help and expertise. We really appreciate his help. Customer service is excellent.

by:

Thought a bearing always came with a race was always told you had to change them both they didn’t even come in a box loose in a bag not happy at all

by:

Never got my order after I payed for one day shipping it’s been over a week and still haven’t seen it yet I won’t be ordering from them again

by:

These were the right fit for my boat hub and axle. These are a different brand than the old seals I removed but they came up on the web site as replacement seals and the specs matched.

by:

Shipping practice is atrocious. These were just kinda chucked in the box loosely with a set brakes and a strip of paper. Somehow they appear to have survived ok.

by:

My first time ordering form etrailer Sarah made it simple and easy! Keep up the good work

by:

This size seal has been hard to find as it is on an older trailer with older axles. These were perfect and fit as expected and seemed to have a great seal on the axle. eTrailer again was great to work with as communications is the key thing they have always had. Thanks again and will be back again.

If you have a UFP/DICO 45263 hub (commonly found on 2013 Heritage/Tracker trailers with the original Vault oil-bath system), a successful replacement is:
CE Smith CE13315 galvanized pre-greased hub assembly
Replace the included grease seal with 13194 (1.372" ID × 1.979" OD)
Spindle uses L44649 inner and outer bearings
5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern
13" trailer wheels
This combination has been successfully installed as a direct replacement for the original Unique BT/UFP Vault hub.
