Hi everyone, Steve here at etrailer. Let's take a look at the CURT trailer axle oil cap with set screw. Now this is gonna give you a clear lens to let you check your oil level at a glance. You're gonna be able to monitor your oil without removing the cap. You can add or drain a oil without removing the cap. It does have a nice little side port here.
This little screw here can twist off and does require an Allen key to do it. There we go. I had it loose here before we started. There we go, and that's gonna make it easy to add fluid if you need to or if you wanna drain it as well. And then on the front center here you have a magnetic vent plug.
So there is a small magnet on there as well. That'll help catch any small metallic particles and stuff like that. And then of course you got your O ring that's gonna keep out dust, debris and give it a nice tight seal. This is made to fit standard 8,000 pound oil bath hubs and a two and 7/8 inch threaded design. That way it installs just like your OEM cap.
It is a die cast aluminum with that clear anodized finish and the nice red accent as well. Now you might see some of these out here with black center caps. They just went through a color change, so as long as all the measurements match up and everything, you're good to go. It's the same exact sizes and everything. Again, you may see some replacement black caps as well, or gray, that's totally normal.
And that's gonna wrap up our quick look together folks. I'm Stephen. Thanks for watching.
