Features to know about

Upgrade for Confident, Controlled Stopping: Electric-Over-Hydraulic Disc Brake Kit

If your trailer brakes feel sluggish or inconsistent, this DeeMaxx kit turns it into a smooth, confident stopper. The electric-over-hydraulic actuator delivers immediate response from your in-cab brake controller—no surge delay or push at the hitch. With 13-1/8" slip-on rotors and a 7,000-lb axle capacity, you get strong, even braking every time. The kit includes the EOH actuator, rotors, calipers, brackets, and all required hydraulic lines and fittings for one axle.

Built to Handle Harsh Conditions: Maxx Coating Resists Rust and Corrosion

Salt spray and wet launches can destroy ordinary brakes. The Maxx coating on the rotors, calipers, and brackets lasts more than 1,000 hours in salt spray testing—far beyond zinc or Dacromet finishes. Drainage holes in the hat section let water escape quickly to minimize corrosion inside the rotors. This marine-grade protection makes it ideal for regular exposure to moisture or brackish water.

Keeps Cool Under Load: Vented Rotors and Kevlar Pads Reduce Heat and Fade

Hauling heavy gear or tackling steep grades can build heat fast. DeeMaxx vented rotors shed heat quickly through internal channels and drainage holes, while Kevlar brake pads resist wear and dissipate heat efficiently. The result is consistent braking performance with less fade and longer pad life—even under demanding conditions.

Simplifies Setup and Maintenance: Slip-On Rotors and Laser-Etched Bleeding Guide

You don’t need special tools to install or service this system. The rotors slip over standard idler hubs and are held in place by existing wheel bolts—no need to replace the whole hub assembly. Calipers mount easily with bolt-on brackets, and each one has simple brake-bleeding instructions laser-etched right on the back for quick reference when it’s time for maintenance.

Built Strong for Long Service Life: Automotive-Grade Design with Backed Warranties

This single-axle kit is engineered for long-term reliability with a 7-year warranty on the brakes and a 2-year warranty on the actuator. A stainless steel piston provides responsive braking, while a side-support caliper bracket design reduces bolt wear. Tested to meet SAE J2681 automotive brake standards, these DeeMaxx brakes deliver the durability and control you can count on season after season.

Video Transcript for Complete Breakdown of the DeeMaxx Disc Brake Kit w/ Actuator for Single Axle Trailers

Hello, neighbor, Steven here with etrailer.com. Folks, today we're looking at our DeeMaxx Disc Brake Kit with included Actuator for single-axle trailers, with a 13-inch rotor, sportin' an eight on 6 1/2 inch lug pattern, and this kit is rated at 7,000 pounds. So, folks, we do offer this in a single-axle kit like we're looking at today. We offer in a tandem axle kit, and we also sell in a triple axle kit as well. I'll put all those item numbers on the screen for you, make sure you're getting the right kit for your application. Now, getting into it, that's kit is gonna simply let you upgrade your trailer from your current idler axle to a braking axle for superior performance.

It's gonna include the electric over hydraulic brake actuator that's gonna activate the brakes when your brake controller signals. So, if you don't have a brake controller, you would need a brake controller as well. That's sold separately if you don't already have one. Now, why disc brakes over, let's say drum brakes Well, disc brakes are gonna offer shorter stopping distances, while delivering consistent braking, even at highway speeds. You're not gonna have lag, delay, those kind of things.

So you're gonna have more braking control than even a surge-type actuator that are in some trailers. Now, this is gonna be great for towing, or even launching a boat in fresh or brackish water. They have a nice corrosion-resistant Maxx Coat Finish, and they are slip-on rotors, meaning you simply slip it over your current hub. You're gonna get the caliper brackets, the calipers, all the hardware, the zip ties, and all the necessary brake lines to do the installation. Now, there are drainage holes built into and around these rotors, as you can see.

Let me pull it over to you to the side. So you're not have to worry about water and stuff staying in there and getting in there and things. So, those are your drain holes. Now, the brake pads themselves, they are made with a Kevlar brake pad. It's gonna dissipate the heat, resist wear and tear, and it's gonna give you a nice stainless steel piston on the inside here with the piston.

And that stainless steel piston will provide fast, responsive braking. And like I said, it's a simple slip-on design, you just slip it over your hub that you currently have already, and it's held place with your existing wheel bolts. So, there's no need to replace the entire hub and rotor assembly. If only your hub or rotor becomes damaged, you can simply just change out that one part. Now, these are vented, like all the rotors that you see out there on the market today. That way, it's gonna dissipate heat faster, and all that as well. So, folks, again, you're gonna get everything you see here on the table. Some information about the actuator itself. This is the Alpha G-1600 Electrical Hydraulic Actuator. As far as some quick dimensions on this bad boy, it is approximately 10 inches long or wide, however you wanna say it, 3 5/8 inches wide this way, and about 6 inches tall overall. Now, these mounting holes, they are oblong, so they give you a little space up and down. I got 1 1/2 inches up or down, center-to-center, and right at 11 inches across, center-to-center, on those mounting holes. Now, that is a 12 volt powered actuator, so you're gonna need 12 volt power supply there. The tank can hold approximately 15.7 fluid ounces of DOT or DOT 4 fluid, so it's a DOT 4 brake fluid. And again, it is a electric breakaway. You got four wires, white, black, blue, and yellow. Black's gonna be your power, blue's gonna be to your brake controller, yellow's your breakaway for safety, and white obviously is ground. So, folks, as far as some warranties on these real quick, you get a seven-year warranty on the brakes themselves. Two years on the actuator. The brake flange here is what's considered a five-bolt pattern. That's what it's gonna fit. So, it should be again, those standard hubs, and brake-mounting flanges that you have on your trailer already. Now, as far as some wheel holes, they are 1/2 inch wheel holes as far as the bolt damage you're gonna need. And again, it's a five bolt as far as the brake flange. Now on the hub itself, it is an eight on six and a half inch lug pattern. And the way you get that is obviously there's eight holes there, right lugs and the six and a half is measured diagonally or straight across, center to center when you're doing an odd pattern. These again, are a 7,000 pound rated and once again, folks, we do carry this in three separate kits, single tandem or triple axle kit. So I'll put them on the screen one more time for you. Again, make sure you're getting the right kit for your trailer needs. I'm Steven that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look today. Thanks for watching.
