When you want your cargo safe from weather and theft, the MX4 gives you solid peace of mind. The folding panels automatically latch as they close, and when the tailgate is locked, the bed stays secure without needing any extra keys or locks. Each panel is made from rustproof, ½" thick aluminum with a premium density foam core, so it holds up to 400 lbs of evenly distributed weight without flexing.
You don’t have to choose between hauling space and protection. The tri-fold design opens in sections so you can access part or all of your bed in seconds. When you need the bed completely open, just fold the panels up against the cab and use the built-in prop rods to hold them in place while you drive. The integrated buckle system secures the cover whether it’s folded, flipped up, or closed.
Some covers sit tall and interrupt the truck’s lines, but the MX4 keeps things sleek. It mounts inside the bed rails for a flush profile, leaving stake-pocket mounts and side-rail accessories open for use. The aerodynamic shape helps reduce drag, and the matte finish matches the rail caps for a clean, factory look.
Sun, snow, and rain can wear out weaker covers fast. The MX4 uses aircraft-grade aluminum panels finished in a matte black coating that’s resistant to scratches, scuffs, and UV rays. The rubber seals and drainage system channel water away from the bed, keeping gear dry through storms and car washes. The aluminum rails are black powder coated and rustproof, built to handle years of use.
Getting this cover installed doesn’t require special tools or drilling. The frame rails clamp to the inside of the bed rails, and bolts secure the hinge rail to the frame. Once tightened down, everything aligns square and solid, ready for daily use without extra adjustments.

The BAKFlip after 2 years is still functioning great. I fixed the curling cushion by applying some strong adhesive to the spots that had detached, taped it in place and let cure for a couple of days. That solved that issue. Would continue to recommend the BAKFlip to others.

The cover is still excellent and keeps our items dry and secure on those road trips. I stand by my initial review and still wish the weatherstripping would stick the the spray in liner better but its only been a minor annoyance that hasnt resulted in any water getting into the bed.
