When you need the whole bed for hauling, the BAKFlip G2 folds completely out of the way. Its quad-fold aluminum panels flip up one by one and can be secured upright with built-in prop rods, letting you drive with the cover fully open. Rubber bumpers protect the cab and rear window when it’s folded up, and integrated buckles make it easy to secure the panels in multiple positions depending on your load.

The G2 sits low inside the bed rails, giving it a clean, flush look that doesn’t interrupt your truck’s lines. Because it mounts inside the rails, you still have access to stake pockets for racks or tie-downs. When the tailgate is closed and locked, the cover’s automatic latching panels keep everything underneath secure—no exposed locks or bulky hardware.
Each panel of the cover is made from rustproof aluminum that’s 1/2" thick with an insulated core for strength and rigidity. The textured black paint finish resists UV rays and corrosion, and the aircraft-grade aluminum frame rails are powder coated for long-lasting protection. The sturdy build even supports up to 300 lbs of evenly distributed weight, so it’s tough enough for work or weekend use.
Matte black rubber seals run along the edges to keep out rain, dust, and snow. Any water that sneaks past is routed through built-in gutters and out via drain hoses behind the cab. That means the gear in your bed stays protected in rough weather or at the car wash.
You can install the BAKFlip G2 with just a wrench—no drilling required. The frame rails clamp to the inside of the bed rails, and slotted brackets on the hinge rail let you fine-tune the fit. Once clamped, the panels align easily and lock down securely, making the whole setup simple to mount or remove on your own.

Still is exactly what I hoped it would be. Adds security to my pick up bed, looks great and gets compliments. Plus it is easy to use. Great product...

After using it for a while Im extremely happy with this cover. It has been a game changer, making my 2008 Ford Ranger bed far more useable and convenient for carrying a variety of items. One of the best purchases Ive ever made for it.

Hi Mardy. I have heard this to be a difficult install and the latches to be stiff (though adjusting them helps), but noisy, flimsy, and poor quality are firsts for a BAK product like this. What kind of noise are you getting? Is something maybe not tightened down all the way causing part to stick up? And, what part are you finding flimsy or poor quality?

After a year of use the cover still works perfectly and I would highly recommend this cover. I really like the fact that you can open up different sections without having to open the whole thing.

Actually its closer to two years and I could not be more pleased. I have done a few rainy road trips and the one thing that worried me was if it would keep the contents dry and it did. Al else about the cover has been good too. Good product and it fit like a glove.

Generally this cover continues to perform well. There is a small leak, which I haven’t been able to locate, but it’s not enough to do any harm to whatever may be in the bed. I would still recommend this cover.

It has been holding on strong. One of the weather strips was coming undone, but I was able to adhere it back down.
