Securing the Cover onto Your Spare Tire
Before installation, it's recommended to lay the cover in the sun for a few minutes. This will let the material expand slightly, so it'll fit over your tire more easily. Then using the built-in elastic hem, slip the pliable cover around your spare tire for a snug fit. The hem prevents the cover from flying off your tire as you're driving down the highway, and the soft interior lining won't damage your wheel's paint job.

These are great tire covers and they are white which wont absorb the suns heat. Many years ago I mistakenly purchased black tire covers from another company and my boat trailer tires dry rotted in a very short time.
