How Does the Thule SnowPack Ski and Snowboard Carrier Hold 4 Snowboards

Question:
It says it can hold 4 boards, but most boards are 9-12inch wide. With a max 30inch of surface, theres no way it can hold 4 boards unless theyre very small junior boards. Please clarify. Thanks!

On the Thule SnowPack ski and snowboard carrier # TH7326 you would stack 2 boards, bottom to bottom and another set of 2, bottom to bottom.
On some vehicles the bindings could touch the roof so this carrier comes with some taller feat to correct that issue. I have linked a video review of this carrier for you.
