These SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs add up to 2,800 lbs of rear axle support at 50-percent compression to keep your ride level and stable when towing or hauling. They cushion bumps, minimize sway, and help your factory suspension carry the extra weight so you feel in control even with a full load.
Whether you’re carrying a light load or a heavy haul, the springs automatically adjust to match. They compress easily for lighter loads to keep the ride soft and smooth, then firm up as weight increases for added stability. That progressive action means less bounce and better control no matter how much gear you’ve got in back.
The closed-cell microcellular urethane springs handle temperature swings from -25 F to 200 F and resist oils, road salts, and UV rays that wear out ordinary rubber parts. They compress vertically with minimal side expansion, so they won’t get damaged by nearby components even in tight spaces. It’s durable support that holds up through seasons of towing and hauling.
Installation is simple with no drilling required—just bolt them in place where your factory bump stops sit. Once installed, there’s nothing to maintain—no air lines, no pressure checks. The one-piece design rebounds fully after heavy compression, working quietly in the background every time you load up or hit a rough stretch of road.
Each spring works on its own to handle side-to-side weight differences. That helps reduce body roll on curves and keeps you steady over uneven terrain or when loading off-center cargo. The result is a more planted feel through corners and better control when your suspension is working hard.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the SumoSprings solo custom helper springs for your rear axle. Now, this is a custom fit part. These are designed to fit the 2014, and newer, Nissan Frontier vehicles. And on a custom fit part like this I always like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle and it'll show if this'll work for your application. Now, these are helper springs which will upgrade your vehicle's rear suspension for improved driver control and comfort, helps keep your vehicle level when you're towing or hauling a heavy load, helps to absorb any bumps and shocks and it'll even help minimize sway.
Now, it does offer progressive load control which means these springs will compress according to the weight of your cargo. So, if you have a lighter load on em the springs will compress easily, at first, for a nice soft engagement and a less bumpy ride and, then, if you have a heavier load the springs will compress by as much as 80% for support. They do work independently from each other to compensate for any off-center loads, reduce body roll during sharp turns, and they are made of a durable microcellular urethane. They're designed to work in temperatures from a negative 25 degrees Fahrenheit to 200 degrees Fahrenheit, and the material will resist damage that can be caused by oils, road salts and UV rays. Does offer minimal lateral expansion.
Basically, these springs will compress vertically instead of to the sides, so they aren't easily damaged when operating in tight spaces. And what's nice about em is they're maintenance free, there's no tubing to run or air pressure to monitor like with air springs. These are very simple, no-drill installation. Does include the two jounce springs with the mounting brackets and the hardware, nice tube of threadlocker to put on the threads when you install it and a nice set of instructions that'll describe how it installs. These parts are made in the USA.
Specs on this, again, the weight capacity at 50% compression is 2,800 pounds. Now, you do need to remember that the SumoSprings will not increase your vehicle's weight carrying capacity. But that should do it for the review on the SumoSprings solo custom helper springs for your rear axle..

The springs are working exactly as expect. I have need up to the mountains numerous times and to Monerary to the Sea Otter bike fest. They have reduced the body roll and helped keep the truck stable on the mountain roads or when loaded down for camping. Im very pleased I added these Sumo Springs to my Tacoma.

Excellent, I also tow a 6x12 cargo trailer which the Sumos do a great job of maintaining a level ride. I also installed Sumos front and rear on my 32 Tiffin motorhome. It utilizes the Ford F53 chassis and I believe they compliment that chassis well. Im definitely a big Sumo fan.
