Heavy trailer, camper, or bed loads can leave your truck squatting and less controlled. These air springs add up to 5,000 lbs of leveling support to reduce sag, sway, and bottoming, while internal jounces let you run 0 psi unloaded.
Typical Alpha HD Pro installation shown. Vehicle-specific brackets vary by application.
When trailer weight, a slide-in camper, or a heavy bed load settles your truck onto its rear suspension, squat and extra body movement can make the truck feel less controlled. The two adjustable rear air springs add supplemental support to help reduce sag, sway, and bottoming while letting you tune the suspension to the weight you're carrying. With up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity, you can add only the pressure the load calls for instead of treating maximum pressure as the default. Your truck can sit closer to level and remain more controlled while carrying or towing substantial weight.
A truck that tows one day and runs empty the next doesn't need the same rear-suspension support all the time. Internal jounce bumpers let you add air when your trailer, camper, or cargo is aboard, then reduce the air springs to 0 psi once that load comes off. Those internal jounces also protect the air springs against bottoming when suspension travel is used up. You get the support your truck needs under weight without having to keep air in the bags simply to protect them when you're driving empty.
Suspension hardware lives where road spray, dirt, and weather reach it, so material choices matter underneath your truck. This kit uses braided stainless steel air lines along with stainless steel fittings, Schrader valves, roll plates, and mounting hardware to add corrosion resistance throughout key parts of the system. That extra durability is focused where it matters, helping the hardware you rely on for load support and pressure adjustment stand up to the environment beneath a working truck.
You'll start by raising the rear of your truck for working access before pulling the factory jounce bumpers from their mounting cups. The air spring assemblies mount between the frame and axle using clamp-style hardware around the existing jounce locations up top and vehicle-specific brackets below, with careful alignment before everything is torqued down. Once the springs are secured, you'll install the passenger-side exhaust heat shield, then route the braided stainless steel air lines with enough clearance and slack for suspension movement before mounting the Schrader valves where they're easy to reach. Adding air bags is a job experienced DIYers can handle, but if you would rather leave it to a professional, we can help you find an installer near you.
The included Schrader valves give you everything you need to adjust the air springs manually, but pulling out an external compressor can get old if your towing or hauling setup changes frequently. You can add a Pacbrake Bravo Wireless Air Control Kit (sold separately) to adjust pressure from your phone, check live pressure, and save presets for loads you come back to regularly. Also, you'll be able to choose between filling both air springs together or controlling them independently when the load isn't even side to side. It's an optional upgrade, but one that makes the adjustable part of an air-spring system much easier to use regularly. And it's not the only solution available. There are a variety of compressor options from Pacbrake that might be the perfect fit for your setup.

Hi everyone, Steve here with Etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the Pack Brake Alpha HD Pro airbag suspension kit with included internal jounces. Now folks, this is the stainless steel upgrade, so all the lines and the hardware is stainless steel, and these, again, have that internal jounce inside of them, and we'll get to that in a second. I wanna make sure you realize these are a custom fit application. Looks like they're gonna fit some '09 through '24 Rams, so make sure you're checking out the fit guide here at Etrailer and things like your make and model. Be sure you're getting the right parts for your specific Ram truck, and make sure they're made for yours.
And you can always reach out to us if you need assistance finding something that fits, and as well as helping you find an installation partner of ours, maybe located in your area based on your zip code. Now, rear air suspension is going to do a lot of different things. If you're squatting in the back end because you have a heavy load on the tongue weight, these can get you back up to stock ride height, keep your headlights pointed in a safe direction, return that traction to the front axle, and also help prevent side to side roll, and get everything back to level whenever you are hauling. Now obviously on the table, I just have everything kind of loosely fitted, and make sure you're double checking the instructions to be sure that these are in the right orientation and those kind of things. I just have 'em loosely put here.
Again, you're looking at the stainless steel airlines. Obviously there's a lot more stuff that comes with the kit than what's at the table. I'll throw an image up on the screen for you. And you may possibly get more hardware and stuff that's not even pictured there. A lot of these kits that we're getting seem to have the stainless steel hardware and the normal hardware both packaged together.
So just putting that out there. Make sure you double check in and using the stainless steel ones if that's what you're, you know, expecting to use and all those kind of things. But again, be aware, you may get some extra hardware that you won't use. That's perfectly normal, and again, you can always reach out to us if you have any questions about any of that as well. Now these are gonna give you low leveling capacity of up to 5,000 pounds, and inside of these bags, there is an internal jounce.
I know you can't see it, but basically it's a hardened rubber jounce, and then you could run these empty at zero PSI, and that's gonna give you the support inside of them to protect the bag, and also give you some extra support whenever you don't have anything in 'em at all. So to me, a kit like this that includes that internal jounce is gonna be the guy or gal out there that's maybe doing construction equipment, trucks and trailers, you're running those kind of big things all the times, heavy loads, transportation guys and gals, those kind of things, because that internal jounce is always gonna be in there. So even when you're empty, these are only gonna go down so much. So what I have found over the years in customers' and neighbors' reviews is, "Hey, I love the jounces. When I'm empty, I tend to feel more of those bumps in the roads with that internal jounce in there." So just kind of keep that in mind. These are designed, again, to consistently have those heavy loads on them, but then when they have that heavy load on 'em, you're gonna get that nice smooth ride that you're looking for, And of course that load support that you're looking for as well. Once again, folks, reach out if you have any questions about this or any other products, and have a great day.

Did not fit my truck 2026 Silverado 1500 4x4, website said it would fit, it does not fit, as axle plate is Square on my truck, this kit have round axle plate that interferes with spring shackle bolts, would not fit or even be centered. SO I am returning them, this needs to be corrected on your website, it does not fit the 2026 Silverado 1500 2x2 or 4x4!
Great product!
Parts fit perfectly, directions were very easy to understand.
It was easy to order and the stuff I ordered is just what I was looking for. The people who helped me was great
verry easy install, everthing was in the package. just installed it. will see how it works under load. under an hour install time.
Great set up. Easy to install. Much better than the Timbren bump stops.
I have no problems with the quality or the install. My one problem is the instructions, when you order the stainless steel kit, it comes with a separate box to replace the hardware. That's totally fine, but it would be nice if they could work that in the instructions for when to install the stainless steel airlines because you can install them at the same time that you can the push in plastic lines. Besides that, these are an insane set of airbags. When I ride at zero psi cuz I got the ones with the internal jounce bumpers, I did not expect this but it smooths out my ride. That's a super huge plus.
The only reason I bought this kit is because I was told I could put zero psi when not towing and I would not lose the factory suspension comfort. That information was wrong its a horrible ride now and I regret getting these bags. Was also told that they don't off this kit without the stainless upgrade so I had to buy it, but when it shipped there was a separate box with the stainless kit and they regular stuff was in the same box as the bags feels like I got ripped off on this deal
This is a very nice kit. I installed on my new 2026 Silverado 2500hd. Installation was pretty straight forward, but still took a bit of thinking. After everything is mounted correctly there is a slight lean to the bags (not completely perpenticular to the mounting plates). I called Pacbrake support and they assured me this was normal and nothing to be concerned with. I had the equivalent AirLift kit on my 2007 Silverado 2500hd and I think I like the Pacbrake kit better. Everything seems a bet "beefier".
