Features to know about

Keep Your Truck Level Under Load: 1,500-lb Load-Leveling Capacity

When you hitch up a trailer or pack the bed full, rear sag can throw off your balance and steering. The Hellwig Load Pro 15 helper springs add up to 1,500 lbs of load-leveling capacity, mounting above your factory leaf springs to keep your truck level and steady when towing or hauling light loads. The result is a stable ride that holds its height, keeps your lights aimed right, and helps your suspension, tires, and brakes last longer.

Smooth Out the Ride and Cut Down on Bounce: Flexes with Your Factory Springs

Heavy loads can make a truck bounce and sway over bumps. These helper springs flex in sync with your stock leaf springs to control that motion. They limit body roll and sway so the truck feels more planted on corners, grades, and rough pavement. The smooth transition between the helper spring and the main leaves keeps stability without making the unloaded ride harsh.

Tackle Uneven Loads with Confidence: Independently Adjustable Sides

Not every load sits evenly from side to side. With Hellwig’s adjustable U-bolts, you can fine-tune tension separately on the driver’s and passenger’s sides to balance uneven cargo. Whether it’s tools stacked to one side or a camper offset in the bed, each side can be dialed in for consistent handling and a level stance.

Install It Yourself and Get Back to Work: Easy Bolt-On Design

You don’t need specialty tools or complex fabrication to add support. The Load Pro 15 uses an easy bolt-on design that mounts above your factory springs with included hardware. Once installed, the durable steel construction and silver vein hammer tone powder coat finish stand up to corrosion for long-term reliability. Just bolt it on, set your tension, and you’re ready to haul again without squat or sway.

Video Transcript for Breaking Down the Hellwig Load Pro 15 Load Leveler Helper Springs

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at these Hellwig Load Pro 15 load leveler helper springs. Now these are custom designed to fit your 2015 to 2020 GMC Canyon and Chevrolet Colorado. To confirm that these are gonna work for you, take advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com. Input the year, make, and model of your vehicle, and our fit guide will confirm that these will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. These custom helper springs have a load leveling capacity of 1,500 pounds and they are going to install above your truck's rear factory springs to reduce sway and body roll while at the same time preventing sagging when towing or hauling light loads.

They're also going to extend the life of your factory suspension, tires, and brakes. And these springs will flex with your leaf springs to limit bouncing while providing optimal stability. Now this is going to be a bolt-on installation, again, above your factory leaf springs with the included hardware. And I have these set up in such a way as how they're gonna look rather on your vehicle or when you have them installed. So just kind of give you an idea of what this is going to look like when you have these installed.

And I have the rear, the springs here on the rear of my table slightly elevated just so you can have a better look at them. But obviously these are all going to be level when you have these installed. The U-bolts can be adjusted to suit different loads. The drivers and passenger size can be adjusted independently for uneven loads. And these springs are made here in the USA of a durable steel construction, which is going to ensure long lasting performance.

And they also feature this really great silver vein hammer tone powder coat finish that's going to help resist that corrosion. Now an important note to make is you do not want to install these springs on vehicles with composite or plastic leaf springs. Because of the durability of these Hellwig springs, if you have the plastic or the composite springs those could be damaged if you use these Hellwig Springs. Again, the weight capacity is 1,500 pounds. However, Hellwig helper springs will not increase your vehicle's weight carrying capacity.

Instructions are included. And these do have a lifetime warranty from Hellwig. Well, that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

I just put these on 2 days ago and I haven't had a chance to put any weight on them so time will tell if they can do the job. They are easy to put on but it is obvious they are a "universal fit" item not one made for each application. First, there was no retainer brackets in the box but I wouldnt have been able to use them anyway. Why? Because the springs are about 3" too short. Both forward and aft of the axle. I couldn't use the positioning shown in the directions because of that. Hopefully these work out because I got tired of dealing with the air bags I had on there. Leakage and pressure changes from weather and altitude get annoying after awhile.
