Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look at these Hellwig EZ-990 Helper Springs. Now, these helper springs are going to fit numerous different types of vehicles, so it is very important that you take advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com. Simply input the year, make, and model of your vehicle and our fit guide will confirm if these will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. Now, these custom helper springs have a low leveling capacity of 2,000 pounds.
They're gonna upgrade your factory leaf springs, installing above your vehicle's rear factory leaf springs, to help reduce sway and body roll while preventing sagging when towing or hauling loads. They're gonna extend the life of your factory suspension, tires, and brakes, and these springs are going to flex with your leaf springs to limit bouncing while giving you optimal stability. Now, these U-bolts that you see here, and I do kind of have it loosely put together as how it's gonna be installed, those U-bolts can be adjusted to suit different loads. The driver's and the passenger size can be adjusted independently for uneven loads if need be. These springs are made here in the USA of a durable steel construction.
It's gonna ensure a long-lasting performance. And they do feature a silver vein hammer tone powder coat finish that's gonna help resist rust and corrosion, so they're gonna hold up really well against the elements that they're gonna be exposed to. And again, this is gonna be a bolt-on installation above your vehicle's rear factory leaf springs. The step bracket style leaf avoids contact with factory hardware, and the mounting hardware is included. Now, you do wanna make sure that you don't install these on vehicles with composite or plastic leaf springs.
Because these are so robust, they could fracture those plastic or composite leaf springs, so, just wanted to make you aware of that. Again, the weight capacity is 2,000 pounds, but do be aware of the fact that these springs do not actually increase your vehicle's weight carrying capacity. So you wanna make sure that you're not exceeding your manufacturer's recommended weight limit.
