When the front end sags under heavy gear or towing weight, this setup keeps things level and steady. The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate air springs add up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity to your front axle, helping distribute weight evenly and maintain safe headlight aim. With pressure adjustable from 5 psi to 100 psi, you can dial in just the right amount of support for steering control and braking under load.
Each air spring has a closed-cell urethane jounce inside that takes the edge off bumps and jolts. These built-in jounces kick in when air pressure alone isn’t enough, absorbing shock and keeping you from bottoming out. They engage smoothly and progressively—the more weight you add, the stiffer they get—so the ride stays comfortable and controlled even on rough terrain or when cornering hard.

This system is made for serious use. The 2-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber air springs handle heavy loads day after day, while high-strength Zytel nylon endcaps resist corrosion better than steel. Air Lift’s exclusive roll plates protect the bags from damage and increase load capacity by spreading out the surface area. Together they extend spring life and keep your suspension performing reliably through heat, cold, and long hauls.

Mounting these air springs doesn’t require fancy equipment—just basic tools and a little driveway space. The kit installs between your truck’s frame and leaf springs with included brackets, hardware, air lines, and manual inflation valves. Once installed, you can inflate each side independently for side-to-side leveling or equally for front-to-back balance. Add an optional compressor system later if you want in-cab control without stepping outside to adjust pressure.

The airlift 5000 does a great job of smoothing out my motorhome. My 2004 fleetwood pace arrow on a workhorse chassis is the worst suspension of the three motorhomes Ive owned. Ive added sumo springs which helped a little. And now the airlift 5000 has made my suspension better. Drilling the two holes through the frame requires patience and strength when lying on the ground. Well worth the time.
Installed the AirLift bags to improve the ride of my rig. The results have been outstanding. Ride and handling are remarkably improved. Overall I am very glad I installed this product.
The instructions were very simple to follow and the kit from Air Lift made a world of difference in the ride. Not only was it easy to install the kit on both sides, but I was surprised to find that I didn't even have to remove the tires. However, I did use the levelers to give me a little more room between the springs and the frame. The only thing I would add to the instructions was how to remove the jounce bumpers (it just says to remove them). One side had a bolt with a 14mm hex head which was inserted up from the bottom, but the nut was a 15mm hex. If you try to use a 15mm socket on the bolt head, I think you may get the socket stuck inside the jounce bumper. Even a deep 14mm socket was tight against the bumper and not long enough to reach the bolt head unless I used an extension. The other side was also a 14mm hex head bolt, but it threaded directly into the frame with no nut. It's easy to see the bolt head once the bumper is out, but not so much with only a couple of inches between the bottom and the springs. All of the components seem very high quality and well made. Of course, etrailer shipped everything very quickly and I'm sure they were only a phone call away if I would have needed help with the installation. 2016 Holiday Rambler 36SBT
Lower bracket is not strong enough. Collapsed on the first trip. A replacement was sent out but did not last. I had to fabricate a support under the center of the bracket to prevent bending.
Purchased for a 2014 Tiffin Allegro Open Road F53/22K Lbs chassis. I intended to start my suspension upgrade hear as I had a list to the front passenger side and this seemed the fist thing that needed correcting and I would proceed from there with sway bars, shocks etc. It has been a year and I see no need.
Much to my surprise, these air bags were easy to install, under 3hrs., and corrected the list to one side, softened the front end jarring from the road and greatly reduced the suc-in/push of passing semi trucks. I run 55lbs of air on the pass. side and 45/50 on the driver. I would say they corrected 80% of my problems and have not seen the need to add/correct sway bars or shocks. Also limited the front end bounce from large dip in the road. The only other thing I am considering adding is a front end center steering wheel stabilizer.
It was very hard to install the one top bolt on the passenger side. The frame didn't allow you to get a wrench or socket on the nut. Very tight. Everything else went well.
Regarding the installation on a 2012 Thor/Damon Daybreak 28PD: The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 was installed in about 3.5 hours with hand tools. No drilling required. Wheels were not removed, though hydraulic jacks were employed w/jack stands for safety. Instructions provided/downloaded were very clear. The valve stems replaced the hardware securing the front license plate bracket which made inflating convenient. Note that later, the gauge, air pump & hardware were added, but the valve stems were maintained. This system provided a marked improvement in ride quality. The rear axle air springs are on the list for installation during the first of 2023.
Hard to say if I like it or not. Really don't notice much difference. Also, when I park on a site and my automatic jacks come out. If my tires are off the ground or close to being off the ground then the bags are really stretched, so I am afraid this will weaken and tare them. So I have to lower my unit, drive up on some boards and then re extend my jacks. So this takes a lot more time then I had to use before.
Made a big difference in the ride and h andling
Looks easy to install, hardware package was open hopefully all bolts and hardware is there!
This was exactly what our motorhome needed. The air bags firmed up the suspension and tightened the steering for better control.
As a mechanic for 50 years I had the necessary tools,my wife at 83 and I at 84 installed the air boots. They were easy to install and made a great difference in the handling, they raised the front end and helped eliminate the sway from passing tractor trailers and high cross winds on I-95. They fit perfectly on our 2020 Ford RV motor home F53 model, no drilling necessary, in the frame.
Awesome products and great customer ser vice.
Easy installation looking forward to ride improvements
Easy to install but have not ran a test run with my motor home as of yet but I’m happy with the installation and how well the air bags are built.
Nice, thank you
As always, my purchase received prompt processing and delivery...good job eTrailer!
Order was on time excellent product
