Heavy cargo or a trailer can make the rear sag and throw off steering and braking. The Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs add up to 1,000 lbs of load-leveling support inside your rear coil springs. This keeps your vehicle level and stable when hauling or towing, maintaining headlight aim, tire alignment, and safe handling even under strain.
Different loads call for different suspension stiffness. With adjustable air pressure between 5 psi and 35 psi, you can dial in just the right support. Add air when carrying heavier gear or deflate when driving empty for a smoother ride. Each spring can be inflated independently with dual air lines to level uneven loads side to side.
These molded polyurethane springs fit snugly inside your existing coils to absorb road shock and reduce sway. The result is steadier steering, less bounce, and improved braking performance whether you’re loaded down or running light. You’ll notice a more planted feel through corners and on rough roads with less strain on your stock suspension.
No need for complex modifications or special equipment. The kit installs inside your rear coil springs using standard tools and includes two air springs, two heat shields, tubing, Schrader valves, and hardware. Manual inflation valves can be mounted anywhere convenient—commonly on the bumper—for quick access. Add an optional compressor system later for in-cab or wireless pressure control without changing your setup.

It sounds like the air bags are causing some noise, perhaps squeaks? In this case, typically the issue is that the coil or suspension components are rubbing on the air bags, or it could be that you torqued the bolts down with the vehicle in the air instead of with the vehicles weight on the suspension. I would try adjusting the air bags and make sure you tighten the bolts with the vehicles weight on the suspension.
Installed them on my rav4. They didn’t really do anything, except be loud and annoying. Every bump and turn squeaked like a pig going to market. After about 6 months of that I cut them out.

I reached out to Air Lift and they said that squeaking can be expected if your springs or coils have that hard rubber coating on them. They also said that if you inflate the air bags to the max and let them sit in the springs for a day, this will give them time to get seated so to speak and should reduce the squeaking.
So far so good. It arrived on time, installed fairly easy, and preformed extremely well on my 2019 Rav 4. Took care of the stock sagging issue I had from loading it up for camping.
A great addition, yet quite the challenge to get them inside the coil during installation
Just what I wanted and shipping was fast. Not my first nor will it be my last purchase from Etrailer. A real Go To
Not too hard to install, well worth the effort as they made a very noticeable improvement to our Toyota RAV4 Hybrid even without the trailer attached.
Free shipping? Not at all. [online] is about $XX less. I have been running these bags on my 23 rav4 now for a few days and so far haven’t noticed a difference. They have not added any ride height. Sure they have stiffened the spring. I wanted an additional ride height to pick up my vehicles sag. I pull a 4x8 enclosed trailer. I wouldn’t recommend these to anyone. I feel they were a waste of money and overpriced for what it is. I’ll be returning them shortly.
Helped quite a bit with my move to Arkansas from Wyoming. Kept my 2023 RAV4 Hybrid from bouncing around while pulling a U Haul trailer. I used it with 35 pounds of air. The only downside is now its making a rubbery squeaking sound.
They didn’t make much of a difference or any on my Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. I followed the instruction and put them on properly, they are just undersized or I got the wrong part number

Robert, I know that this Airlift spring set does have a 1,000 point capacity. It is possible that you need a higher rated spring. The only ones that we have is the coil spring enhancement part # T58GR, which bolsters the coil springs on the vehicle however they do not have a specific weight capacity number. Are you also using a weight distribution system? If you are not then it might be a possible solution. Let me know.
We have a little roof top tent trailer that’s about 1750 lbs we tow with our RAV4 hybrid and it was squatting more than I wanted. These fixed the problem without altering my wife’s commuter permanently. I’m very impressed with the product.
Installation is not a walk in the park as far as getting the bags in the springs, and then once there in, getting them to seat right. So when you are ready to throw things across your shop, I verify it’s worth the struggle. I mounted my air valve just below the trailer plug in on the bracket. It looks clean, is easily accessible and it leaves the car intact. I routed the lines over the heat shield and made a casing with exhaust wrap because the 6” rule in the instructions is not realistic. I’m sure a casing and the heat shield should protect the hose.
They’re awesome. Once you get them installed which can be very difficult they are a huge help when towing a trailer with a small suv
Definitely a chore to get the deflated bags in between the springs! Everything else is straight forward and easy to install. The parts seem to be very good quality. I haven't towed anything yet with the system.
They work great it was very difficult to put in could not do it the way it said on instructions but I was able to get it in by spreading spring then pushing in ( as a machinist I would like to see better air fittings so less possibility of leaks)
With the tubing going under the suspension I don’t see it lasting long. The air bags looked a little short for the springs but I could not find if that was normal in the instructions. I don’t like the way the airlines are exposed to the ground. I believe I should have just gotten the upgraded rear springs. The air bags went in fairly easy after I deflated them and put the cap on to keep them deflated. I had to go through the side of the springs not the bottom as instructed. So far the air bags them selves are working properly.

Thank you for your review. The bags press out on the coils to keep them from compressing instead of up and down. They are not designed to touch the top and bottom.
Good product. Installation manual is good. Was challenging to install.

I recently sold the Rav4. But in the time that Ive had it, the air support on my rear Springs was a fantastic day. The change in the aspect of how it rode, how I trailed and how I carried 5 adults with their luggage. Ive since gone to a bigger vehicle, not requiring such things. But I can tell everybody, because this is the second time ive used those kind of airlifts, and theyve always performed wonderfully, definitely one hundred percent, ten out of ten!
