When a heavy load makes the back end sag, steering and braking can start to feel off. The Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs support up to 1,000 lbs inside your rear coil springs to keep your vehicle level and steady. With the extra air spring support, you reduce squat, prevent bottoming out, and keep headlight aim and handling where they should be even under a full load.
Smooth Ride Whether Loaded or Empty: Adjustable Air Pressure from 5–35 psi
Every haul is different, so it helps to have a setup you can dial in. These molded polyurethane air springs let you fine-tune firmness with air pressure between 5 psi and 35 psi. Keep around 5–10 psi when unloaded for a normal ride, or air them up when you’re hauling heavy to stay level. You can inflate each spring independently with the included Schrader valves for even side-to-side balance when a load isn’t centered.
DIY-Friendly Install: Fits Inside Existing Rear Coil Springs
Installing added load support doesn’t mean tearing apart your suspension. The Air Lift 1000 kit fits directly inside your existing rear coil springs using standard tools. It includes two air springs, a heat shield, tubing, Schrader valves, and hardware for manual inflation. Dual air lines can be added during install for independent adjustment if needed.

The product does exactly what it is designed to do at a very reasonable price point. The two star reduction is based on the uber difficult installation process for bags on this model vehicle. Other systems I've installed were done with the coil spring removed, and reinstalled. Ten minutes a corner. Having to contort this bag through the opening between two coils of the installed spring is unlike anything I've encountered in 50 years of mechanical work. No matter how much soapy water I applied, every minute or two, getting a midline crease in the semi-folded bag over an inch wider than the spring OD through and into the inner spring diameter was tortuous. It was every bit of two hours work for just the bag insertions, and I have a full car lift like the video, and removed the wheels for best leverage and access. Once the bags are in; the rest is a cake walk.

The Airlift is great once you get the air bags inside the coils. Nearly impossible to do as described in the installation guide. I found a Youtube video that showed how to use your body weight to get into "hot dog bun" shape then zip tie to hold shape. Doing it by hand at same time to install...good luck. Once in, they are great. I would also suggest getting a metal "t fitting", rather than use plastic one.

Air bags are a bit of struggle to install inside of coil springs. Some of the included hardware items specifically the air tubing spring clamps are of poor quality so plan on upgrading these. All of mine broke due to very fragile design made from poor quality steel. Heat shield mounting hose clamps are far too large and leave long unsightly tails unless replaced with smaller size clamps. Inflation valve hardware was quite good. Installation completed in dual inflation valve mode for better control of individual spring pressure. The poly plastic air tubing appears to be the same as used for drip irrigation watering systems.

Well it took longer than 1hr estimate, the pictures in the instructions helped a lot. Mine is '23 and the pics must be the '22 model. Different exhaust configuation. Heat shield not necessary. Lift added about 2-1/2" to rear. Steering feel was corrected with lift. Super happy with results.
