  The correct 54" Yakima Tracks for a Camper Shell is part # Y26RR which will allow you to use any standard track mounted roof rack. The other options you listed, part # Y01127 and part # Y64MR are for metal roofs and ladder racks respectively. Since you have a fiberglass camper shell you don't need the version that comes with hardware for metal roofs and since you'll be installing the tracks on the roof of a camper shell you likely won't be using a ladder rack system which mounts to the tracks.

  I was able to find the video you are referring to of an installation of part # Y01127 on the 2004 Ford F-250, our installer does attach the tracks closer to the door because that is the strongest part of the roof. I have attached that video. I contacted Yakima and they said the tracks can be installed anywhere on the roof of 2001 Ford F-350 that works best for you but we like to install them closer to the door for stability.
