They leak water and dust, also the rubber hinges are worthless. We replaced with them metal ones. Way too much money for this product. Won’t recommend them
Product might have been a lot better if the shipping tore the lids off at the hinges and the lids were scratched and bent. The paint on the frame was scratched and ground off where it was dragged. Not what I expected for that much money.
No mounting hardware came with the storage unit and the bin lid hinges were broken on delivery. I read this before purchasing from other reviews so I expected it. I just figured etrailer would have this resolved by now. The storage bin is nice other than these issues.

I am sorry that it arrived with broken hinges. I will have our Customer Service team reach out to you. I wanted to let you know that the unit does not come with mounting hardware.
The holes for the spring pins were mis- drilled
FAST SHIPPING GREAT ADD ON FOR STORAGE
Brackets had to be relocated for my specific toy hauler. The doors are not waterproof by any means. The bins are very tough. I use them to keep leveling items in
Great to gain the extra, separate storage, one side for hoses and other plumbing, the other side for chocks, mud shoes, and step.
NOT waterproof, no drainage!
The product was exactly as described. The folks at etrailer were on top of the shipping and delivery process. This was an oversized product an packaged appropriately. I am looking forward to installing the storage system and will comment back further.
I do like the additional storage space it provides. Overall I am glad I bought it, however I did have to get better hardware to attached the lids because the original hardware failed during shipping. I also had to add a way to add some locks for securing what I had stored in the bins.
Pros - Much needed extra storage. Lined up on my Lippert frame camper
Cons - Hinges on doors rubber and pop rivets. Pull loose easily and had to be replaced on arrival. Hole for Lock pin on bin is in wrong place once hung and must be redone for pin to hold in place. No hardware is included to install product
Added storage for drain hoses on on side and electrical cords on the other. It would be nice if it had a way to lock it from factory. Frame mount did not match my camper frame, modified mounts and it works great.
I have this mounted on a 5th wheel toyhauler
We added this to our tow trailer and have been very pleased with it. Don't expect dry storage of this unit but great storage for items such as sewer hose connectors and leveling devices. The location of ours can also be used as a table when the awning is deployed. Great addition for storage.
Excellent cargo solution. This has allowed us to keep all of our sewer equipment septate from everything else in one of the bins. In the other book we keep all of our water related equipment. We never worry about cross contamination from the sewer equipment. The four stars is for the great storage solution. I couldn't give it 5 because I did have to modify the fitment by cutting off the mounting tabs and welding them about in a different spot, about an inch. Also, I think the price is ridiculous. This is made of simply two angle iron, two plastic bins and two very simple spring loaded latches.
This item is a great idea. I store the leveling blocks sewer hoses on one side fresh water on other.
Big complaint is that the poly storage compartments have too weak of a bottom. They were flat new, now they sag a significant amount. I worry that eventually they may mis-Shape enough to not slide in and out
Love the box for storage of outside things such as wheel chocks, hoses, mats, etc. Things do get wet inside though so it only good for things that can get wet. Mounting was an issue as the brackets didn't line up with frame width. Its a Lippert Frame. Salesman I bought RV from told me Fusion/Impact have wider frames for stability. I thought he was BSing me. Maybe not. Not a big deal for me but it could be for some without a welder to modify brackets.
Well got this an new it was to long for my fifth wheel . I cut 6” off one side an refused it back together again. Shorted the steel rails to. Looks just like it was made that way. I also put a piece of 1/2” plywood in on bottom to help support the wait. I have all my elects cords an water hoses in one side an all wheel blocks an levelers in other side. I added a hasp an a lock to it also.gave me a lot of more storage in camper 10 star for me.the pipes are for my carpet an sewer hose. An fishing poles.
Over 20 years we have owned 4 5th Wheel trailers and why I did not buy this storage unit on the 1st one is beyond me! It allows for under the unit storage instead of using up do much basement space. I keep our 50 amp power, surg and water hose on one side and sewer related on the other. The basement is so much nicer now with room to see what you have. Only negative is that it does not have a lock ability. I solved it by adding my own system. it is great quality, but not waterproof so only put things in it that can get wet.
Packaged well made it with no problems. The mounting brackets don't fit my trailer but a little welding should remedy the problem.
I love buying from etrailer… I can always count on a fast shipment, well packaged, and great communications before, during, and after shipment… A++++
Quality of materials is good, workmanship is not. Doors do not fit opening (both doors), rough cutout and not big enough to let doors seat properly. Rubber hinges on both doors pulled loose from rivets during shipping.
I am adding steel hinges (replacing rubber), adding rubber seal around doors and cleaning up/resizing the openings. I can fix mine to meet my needs, others may not want to go to all that trouble. Factory can do a little better and have an outstanding product. Please pass on to factory.
We installed this on our toy hauler, we keep straps and stuff from the garage in the box, and beer. Our only complaint was it is not water or dust tight. But we keep our stuff in totes, inside the storage area.
Check the width of the frame you are attaching to, the brackets may have to be cut off and welded. Also watch backing in somewhere, if you back in a low area, like a ditch, the bottom of the box may rub.
Item as described. Good heavy grade power coated metal frame. Strong boxes. 6 flanges to attach the unit to the frame. More storage than anticipated. Drawers are easy to lock in place so they don’t slide in or out. As others have said, the lids have a hole so you can open them. There is no gasket around the top. So between those two items and the fact that the lid can bounce around when driving, if it’s raining, you can easily see how water would get in the boxes. No way to lock the lids closed so no one slides the drawers out and opens the lids to take your things. Would have been nice to have a small sheet included with bolt size suggestions without having to hunt for the info. So know the downfalls of the unit, but we are still very happy with our purchase. There is nothing that we can’t resolve on our own. So happy with the space, even thinking about maybe adding a second unit.
all in all went together but by no means plug and play. had to modify the most bracket to fit the new 2025 forest river frame width dementions which are 1.5 inches narrower than the lippert rails. plus the 99 1/2 inch version does stick out 3 inches on both sides so for forest river applications I would recommend the smaller length option.
We have a mini-lite 2509S. There's not a lot of outside storage on that model, so we bought these bins 3 years ago to increase our capacity. We had to modify the frame for the bins, as they were not square. We had to cut the supports, straighten, and also added additional supports. After those modifications, the bins have held up fine and they’ve served us well. The bins are not waterproof – anything you store in them will get wet. We use them to store our leveling blocks, x-chocks, levelers, etc. Stuff that typically is already dirty and it won’t matter if it gets wet. You can’t add a lot of weight to the containers, as they sag in the middle. I would buy them again, as they do work, and there’s not a lot of alternatives available. It's been worth it to us to have the extra storage.

The storage unit definitely should not arrive in this condition. I will have our customer service team reach out to you so we can have this taken care of for you.
