Features to know about

Better Steering Control: TruTrac Rod Keeps the Axle Centered

If your steering feels loose or wanders over rough pavement, this setup fixes that. The Roadmaster TruTrac Front-Axle Trac Rod braces the axle to the frame, cutting down side-to-side movement that causes rut tracking and veering. The result is steadier steering response and a more predictable ride, even when the road surface changes under you.

Less Fatigue on Long Drives: Stable, Predictable Handling

Fighting constant steering corrections wears you out fast. The TruTrac system minimizes wander and rut tracking, keeping your front wheels lined up and pointed straight. That means fewer corrections through crosswinds and uneven pavement, so you can relax and drive longer without that constant upper-arm workout.

Built for Strength: 4140 Chromoly Steel and Polyurethane Bushings

Everything about this bar is made for durability. The main rod is thick, cadmium-plated 4140 chromoly steel for superior strength. It’s paired with polyurethane bushings that don’t squish out like rubber and stand up to oil, gasoline, and ozone. Less flex in the joints means consistent support that holds up mile after mile.

Simple Bolt-On Mounting: No Drilling or Welding

Installation doesn’t require special tools or frame modifications. The TruTrac rod mounts directly using existing holes, with all hardware and instructions included. Once it’s bolted up, the system works quietly in the background—no maintenance, no hassle—just a more controlled, confident drive every time you hit the road.

Install was very straight forward. Did require a 3/4 impact wrench that I did not have to remove U-bolt on leaf spring. (It's nice to have friends that are truck mechanics). Other than that, it was a piece of cake. Have not had a chance to test drive yet, but hoping this does the trick.

The Roadmaster track bar made a significant difference in how well the front end of our Kodiak RV tracked. The rut following and resistance to returning onto the road from the shoulder, lane changing etc. are greatly improved. This should be used in conjunction with other suspension upgrades such as a rear track bar, upgraded shocks and stiffer rear springs to further enhance the handling and vehicle control.

by:

The product is very good. The people are friendly and very nice and very helpful. They even called me and offer their help. I received the product before the delivery date which it was great.I recommend this product and this company to everyone.

by:

ordered a track bar and it was not available right away so i called the factory and etrailer worked with them to make sure i got one right away, very helpful. usually i get etrailer orders in 2 days and sometimes i get them the next day. great people to deal with and the best prices too.

by:

This took 90% of the wonder out of the truck while driving down the road. It is much more predictable to drive now. I wish I had gotten one of these years ago.

by:

Massive Improvement with Drivability, Highly recommend

by:

Improved the steering and lessened impact of being passed by Semis on my RV - Kodiak 5500 chassis.

by:

Easy to install, good thing for youtube, instructions not that good.

by:

Looks good, seems to work good only on a test drive. It’s on a very clean 1997 36’ f53 Bounder, with tag axle. It already had 1 5/8” sway bars front & rear. It also has the complete Bank package, so it's a pretty sweet old rig.

by:

I have to say. After installing Koni front shocks a rear track bar now a Front trac bar front I don’t see a big improvement too out way the cost.
I may try a new front sway bar and steering stabilizer but the cost will determine my decision.

I am sorry to say it didnt help my handling issue with the motorhome being pushed around by the wind.

by:

Etrailer comes thru when others can't. I was assured it was in stock and it got delivered today. I have used Etrailer before and will use again. Thanks, Etrailer.

by:

Already had a track bar on the rear axle which made a huge difference in handling. This front bar was also an improvement. Well worth the money.

by:

Very pleased with the product exceptional quality easy installation improved handling and great customer service from etrailer thank you

by:

If you have an gas motorhome this is one of the best investments you can make. I opted for front and rear trac bars along with new shocks . What a world of difference. Absolutely not pushed by wind or passing trucks. After traveling over the country’s really bad roads we had sumo springs installed. They help but the trac bars were by far a better improvement. We traveled 12,000 miles this summer plus 5,000 in a tow car. We crossed the great divide a half dozen times. All with confidence in a 2005 model fleetwood. I couldn’t imagine trying to drive that trip with the original equipment.

by:

Haven’t driven RV yet, front axle track rod installed easy and feels heavy duty, can’t wait to take it for a ride. Highly recommend etrailer for parts and their service

Glad to hear it was an easy install, Kenny! What did you install it on? This fits a few different models and I have heard it isn't as simple as it is on others.

  • Which Roadmaster TruTrac Front Axle Trac Rod Fits 2004 Workhorse Chassis W Series With Sway Bar?
Hey Lynn, you can add the Roadmaster TruTrac Front-Axle Trac Rod for Large Trucks and RVs # RM-TRACW-22 you were looking at. It's compatible with your 2004 Workhorse Chassis that has the Roadmaster sway bar on the front. There is a kit with everything combined here: # RM-1259-106, but since you already have the sway bar you can just add that trac rod. What kind of RV is it? I know some Newmars were built on that.

  • Recommended Anti-Sway And Steering Stabilization On Workhorse W20 Chassis Motorhome
For your 2010 Fourwinds Serrano with Workhorse W20 Chassis, I have the sway bars and steering stabilizer you are looking for. For the front anti-sway, I recommend the Blue Ox TigerTrak Front Axle Stabilizer # TT2304. This will minimize side-to-side movement to improve the overall stability. It will reduce body roll and diminish the effects of crosswinds and shifting cargo. These are all confirmed to fit your 2010 Fourwinds Serrano motorhome.

  • Anti-Sway Bar and Axle Stabilization for 2010 Winnebago Sightseer with the W22 Chassis & Gas Engine
I'm glad you asked as that info is confusing for sure. I reached out to my tech contact at Roadmaster and the only thing available for your gasoline model W22 chassis is the Roadmaster TruTrac Front-Axle Trac Rod for Large Trucks and RVs # RM-TRACW-22 which essentially just holds the front axle in place to prevent jarring and unnecessary shifting. They don't have anything for the rear of the vehicle. They do have a steering stabilizer to prevent fatigue at the wheel and help you stay...

  • Will Roadmaster TruTrac Front Axle Trac Rod Help Steering of 2003 Winnebago Adventurer Workhorse
The answer to your question is yes, the handling on your 2003 Winnebago Adventurer built on a Workhorse chassis will definitely improve with the TruTrac that fits your coach, with the correct fit being the following: - Roadmaster TruTrac Front-Axle Trac Rod # RM-TRACW-22 The issue with your '03 Adventurer, as you likely know, is how extensively long it is in rear; the large overhang behind the rear axle puts so much weight on the back that the front end feels too light and you get the...

  • Improving the Ride Quality of an RV Built on a 2005 Workhorse W22 Chassis
Yes! Probably the single best addition you can make to provide better handling in your RV would be to install a rear anti-sway bar. Helper springs treat the symptom but not the cause like an anti-sway bar would. There are 2 rear sway bar options for your 2005 Workhorse W22: # RM-1259-108 and # RM-1259-109 (for applications 33 feet or longer). Additional products for even more stability include axle stabilizers: # RM-TRACW-22 or # TT2304 for the front end. And adding a steering stabilizer,...

  • Do Front Anti-Sway Bar and TruTrac System Install at Same Locations on 2007 Workhorse W-22 Chassis
The Roadmaster Front Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1259-105 uses a similar mounting location to the Roadmaster TruTrac Front-Axle Trac Rod # RM-TRACW-22 but the exact mounting locations are different enough that these 2 products won't interfere at all and you won't need to overlap any of the mounting brackets. When I reached out to my contact at Roadmaster he said that the sway bar mounts more towards the back while the TruTrac bar mounts more to the front and there isn't any overlap so you don't...

  • Where Is The Roadmaster TruTrac Front-Axle Trac Rod Manufactured # RM-TRACW-22
The Roadmaster TruTrac Front-Axle Trac Rod for Large Trucks and RVs # RM-TRACW-22 is manufactured in-house at Roadmaster's Vancouver, Washington facility. We list it as being made in the USA and I called Roadmaster as well and confirmed it, so you don't have to worry about using a non-American made trac rod on your 2003 Workhorse W22 Motorhome.

  • What is the Difference Between the TigerTrak # TT2304 and TruTrac # RM-TRACW-22 Stabilizers
Adding the Roadmaster Sway Bar # RM-1259-109, Steering Stabilizer # RM-RBK13-RSSA, and Blue Ox TigerTrak Rear-Axle Stabilizer TT2601 will greatly improve the handling of your 2005 Trek Safari Motorhome and make is much more pleasant to ride in. When it comes to the Blue Ox TigerTrak # TT2304 and the Roadmaster TruTrac # RM-TRACW-22 front stabilizers the only real difference is that the TigerTrak is made of high-strength alloy steel for superior strength and comes with a 3-year warranty...

Roadmaster rear anti-sway bar # RM-1259-109 will fit your 2007 Workhorse W24 chassis. It is intended for models that are 33 feet or longer. Since yours is 36 feet long it fits that description.
