Features to know about

Straighter Tracking on the Highway: Reflex Spring Centers the Steering

Crosswinds and passing semis can make steering feel twitchy. The tempered steel spring inside the Reflex stabilizer constantly works to keep the steering centered. When the wheel is pushed off course, the spring stretches or compresses to pull it right back to neutral. That tight connection between the steering mechanism and chassis keeps you tracking straight and steady no matter what the road throws at you.

More Control in Rough Conditions: Stabilizer Responds Instantly

Ruts, uneven pavement, or a sudden tire blowout can jerk the wheel out of your hands. This stabilizer resists those sudden movements by absorbing the force and pulling the steering back into line. Because the spring reacts both when extended and when compressed, it corrects oversteering and helps prevent wandering or drift. You stay in control instead of fighting constant corrections.

Less Fatigue on Long Drives: Stable, Predictable Handling

Holding the wheel against pull or sway for hours wears you out. With the Reflex stabilizer working to keep your steering centered, there’s less effort needed to maintain a straight line. That means reduced road fatigue and a more relaxed drive, even after miles of highway or winding roads.

Simple, Bolt-On Setup: All Mounting Hardware Included

Installation takes about an hour with no drilling or welding. The stabilizer mounts to the steering mechanism on one end and the chassis undercarriage on the other using the included custom brackets and hardware. Once it’s bolted in, it’s a clean, solid setup that’s ready to go to work keeping your steering firm and controlled.

Installed the roadmaster stabilizer on my 2017 F450 Fleetwood Jamboree and just got back from the test drive. Got the positioning just right on the first try. This with my sumo springs have completely transformed my ride.
Excellent.

Works well, install was a little tough as the video showed mounting bracket instructions different then the bracket I installed . I had to remove the spring u bolt nuts. That was not an easy task. Had to use a breaker bar and my legs to remove them. Install was easy and took about 20 minutes. Steering feels good.Happy with etrailer and the product.

What a difference this made. I was on the fence about this for quite a while because of the investment needed. Now that’s it’s on my 2018 Coachman Freelander 28QB sitting on a Ford E450 my only advice is don’t wait any longer, put this on as soon as possible! It took all of that steering wheel shake out. No need to hang on with a death grip anymore. The stabilizer is very easy to put on, it took me about 1 ½ hours to complete including taking the old one off. Just follow the great video and printed instructions from etrailer and you will have no problems at all.

I did the drive to find center on steering wheel which made installation easier. Removing existing steering stabilizer and brackets and installing the new wasn’t difficult at all with just basic tools. Read instructions and watch video at etrailer site. The reflex steering stabilizer is worth the money but should be the last modification done in my opinion. The first thing to install to help the swaying, leaning or just being pushed around by the semi trucks is #1 Roadmaster rear anti-sway bar if the manufacturer left the original small one on. #2 Roadmaster front anti-sway bar. Then #3 Roadmaster Reflex steering stabilizer. I say Roadmaster because the bushings and linkage for all of these are very heavy duty compared to the others that I compared. After doing all three of these upgrades to my 2022 E-450 33 foot class C the driving has gone from seriously gripping the steering wheel to driving relaxed with one hand in high wind or the passing of big rigs and ruff dipping road surfaces. I did this upgrades one at a time in the order I’ve indicated so I actually got to feel how each item help to control my motorhome. I am very pleased with all. Thanks etrailer for the excellent service.

We have driven about 3,400 miles since the Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer install. I can honestly say it has made a significant difference in the handling of our Class C RV. Before installing the Stabilizer the RV steering felt like it wanted to drift one way or the other depending on road conditions. This is no longer the case. Much less work to steer.

by:

I installed this on my 2003 Chevy Express 3500 Roadtrek Class B motorhome to help with steering wander. It improved the issue by about 75%. A noticeable improvement. The instructions were a little difficult to follow, but with some tech support help, I was able to remedy the issue by reversing the position of the small end bracket (see pic) that attaches to the steering center link. This is basically a shock absorber (dampener with spring) mounted horizontally on the steering Linkage. It worked well.

To start off, the folks at etrailer were the most professional and helpful. I cannot remember a company I have dealt with in the past that offers such help in determining the correct product and answering my many questions.

The installation of the RBK22 bracket was flawless. I was very concerned because of the size of my Newmar Country Star 3911 motor home (26,000 GVRW). The U bolt nuts came off without a lot of strain, since I went out an purchased a 3/4" breaker bar. We installed the mounting bracket and re torqued the U bolt nuts to the factory 250 ft. lbs of torque.

Installing the RSSA went smooth as well. Check out the pictures below. We then took the motor home out on the freeway and drove it between 65 - 70 mph. Steering was wonderful! Before, I could only drive 55 mph and had to constantly fight with the steering wheel to keep the motor home straight.

Thank you etrailer and Roadmaster for such a great product!

This stabilizer is great! Installed today (10/24) on my Georgetown 34H5. Took my it for a ride down Interstate 20 for about 5 miles. Was passed by a couple of semis and hardly felt anything! Your product is great. Looking forward to my trip to New Orleans in January.

by:

Improved the handling but was just barely able to fit it on my Chevy Express 4500 chassis with a little modification to the bracket.

by:

It does do a good job. The only possible change that I would like to see is to the attachment at the tie rod end. It can be a challenge to torque the u bolts to spec.
Thanks

The Roadmaster Reflex RV Steering Stabilizer has made a huge improvement in how our 22 E 450 coach drives. We live in South Central Kansas and wind is often a big problem . The Relex has been a great investment .

by:

If you have a Ford E350 or E450, but this. Your future RVing self will thank you. East to install and a real game changer when it comes to driving. It takes attention to detail to get it centered but it is not difficult to get it done. No more wandering from lane to lane and no white knuckles when driving in the wind or meeting wind jamming semi truck.

by:

Relatively easy install - huge difference in the steering of my Coach.

Steering is tight , no wandering ,love the return to center !!

These should be standard equipment on every motorhome sold - no exceptions.

by:

It took me about an hour to install the RM stabilizer and was surprised that no adjustment was needed after the test drive. I had to call back e Trailer to get torgue specs since it was not included in the package. Overall a great investment my van drives a lot better particularly on the freeway.

by:

As of right now it gives a tighter feel to the steering. I had it put on by a local Rv dealer on 1/2026 for the up coming camping season. I have a Coachmen 29FW 2024

by:

What awesome product I had it installed at an alignment shop took about 45 minutes, took it out on the highway and it did a better job then I ever could ask for. I now feel in control of my A Class Coach 100 percent better driving No more White knuckles it’s a joy to drive. Why Ford didn’t put a product like this on from the factory is beyond me. Could not be happier with the Reflex Steering Stabilizer made by Roadmaster E Trailer was awesome to work with also Thanks again

Quality built steering stabilzer. Well packaged and arrived within my expected time frame.

by:

First, I did have to grind off corner of the plate that mounts under leaf spring bolts. It would not lay flush so I tapered one of the edges where it met the axel a little bit till it laid flush. I did buy a 3/4 inch wrench set but with an rv, it's good to have and will possible allow me to get the 22.5 inch wheels off in an emergency. This with a good solid 3' pipe and I was able to fairly easily break the leaf spring bolts free. I used boards to ensure the fronts tires were fairly straight, laying them alongside the tires and eyeballing to see where they lined up with the back tires which are about 4 inches wider than the front outside width. I mounted the steering stabilizer and took it for a test drive and it was good the first time, no additional adjustments needed. Feels good on the road, good around turns, and even at low speeds around the driveway, I did not notice any extra effort to turn the wheel due to the heavy spring on the stabalizer. Put about 75 miles on it and it feels solid and stable though no high winds or passing semi trucks yet. But my 2007 ford f53 22000 lb chassis under a holiday rambler admiral body has always felt pretty good. Just trying to make better, next up is the new koni evo fsd heavy duty shocks coming today.

Great service and great product

Helped the loose front end of my E-350 van

by:

Installed this with your sway bar and I am very pleased.
Fast shipping and a quality part.
Thank you

Received yesterday in a very timely matter as usual from etrailer. Installed it on my E350 Van this morning. Installation was easy, and the directions were well written, and easy to follow. (not exactly sure how much to tighten the ends of the shock body when compressing the bushings), so, I just tightened enough to seat the bushings well.
Took a 8 mile shakedown run thru the neighborhood, & more on the 1hwy.
Didn't have a load as I usually do, seemed a little harder to steer, not much. Didn't really notice the "return to center" much. It's windy along the coast, and I did notice the van didn't' wander as much as it has in the past. I'm pretty sure it'll work better when I have a load.

by:

I own a 2006 Sportsmobile (ford e250) I have added extra leaf springs, up graded to bilstein shocks and added a hellwig rear sway bar and the van still did not track well driving at any speed. The roadmaster stabilizer was the ticket. The van feels much more stable and it is easier to drive and has also reduced driving fatigue.

by:

E350 super duty, did no do too much for return to center, but OH boy, it drives like a car down the road now. Highly recommend. etrailer--super fast shipping, money well spent!!

If the vehicle continues to pull to the right or left, the stabilizer can be adjusted to one side or the other as outlined in step 7 of the instruction which Ive linked for you.

Wonderful. E350 passenger van, drive it mostly on vacations from Michigan to Disney. The stabilizer makes a world of difference with straight line stability. No constant steering corrections needed. Long trips are no longer a chore on the driver.

by:

Our Ford E350 got blown all over the Interstate on trips. It was so dangerous at times. At first I installed Bilstein shocks and though they helped a little, installing the front and rear anti-sway bars and the steering stabilizer made all the difference in the world. I changed them all at the same time so I don't know which one helped the most. These are certainly quality products and are pretty easy to install.
