Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a brief look together at these Valterra Bladex RV waste valve seals. Now, this is going to replace two seals and hardware for your one and a half inch Bladex waste valves. And this does include everything that you see here. As I mentioned, you're gonna get two valve seals and then you are going to receive four bolts and four nuts.

And I have those nuts attached to the bottom of the bolts here. And this is the direct replacement from Valterra. So, what that means for you is you can proceed with confidence, knowing that this is going to be the replacement that you need for your one and a half inch Bladex waste valves. The seals are perfect replacements, however installed dry the blade friction of the valve makes operation extremely difficult and cause for concern of plastic handle breakage. The package should include a small tube of rubber lube for the seal faces and the blade.

Perfect fit, easy to replace. It is best to do both grey and black valves at same time. remove both starting with smaller one. Install the black and finally install grey.

Hey Phil, thanks for reaching out! For a 3-year-old Double RV Waste Valve Kit # T80 you need the -9 versions which are parts # T1003-9VP and # T1001-9VP. You would use the -7P seals if you had an older system. How often have you used the valves?

Visual Difference Between Old and New Style of Valterra 1-1/2 inch Valve Seal
Go ahead and send me the pictures and I'll take a look to see which 1-1/2 inch Valterra seal you would need. The biggest visual difference is that the new Bladex Style part # T1001-9VP has a small lip on one corner of it that's used for grabbing. In the attached picture it is pointed out. The older style # T1001-7VP does not have that and has a thicker center section. I attached a picture of the two seals for you to check out as well.

The gray water tank valve on the Bristol Double RV Waste Valves part # 34466ND13AAR can be replaced using the Bristol Waste Valve Body for RV Gray Water part # 34439241 or the Valterra Bladex Waste Valve Body for RV Gray Water Tank part # T1001VP. If you just want the seals then that would be the Valterra Bladex RV Waste Valve Seals part # T1001-9VP.

Are Valterra Replacement Gate Valve Seals Compatible With LaSalle Bristol Gate Valves
Hey Douglas, The Valterra Bladex RV Waste Valve Seals # T1001-9VP are slightly larger (thicker) than the LaSalle Bristol gate valve seals so you while you could get them to fit you'd likely have a leak over time. Your best bet would be to replace the gate valve with a Valterra gate valve like part # T1001VP. The old gate valve can just be unbolted from the plumbing and swapped over to the newer valve and from then on you can replace just the seals as needed. The bolt pattern for these...

The part # T1001-9VP is specifically designed for the Valterra Bladex Waste Valves like part # T1001VPM. If you have a typical 1-1/2" waste valve then you want to go with part # T1001-7VP instead.

Replacement Seals for Waste Valves Which are Difficult Operate
Often times when a Waste Valve # T1003PBC becomes difficult to operate the seals need to be cleaned and lubed. We also have Replacement Seals for 1-1/2" # T1001-9VP, 2" # T1002-7VP and 3" # T1003-9VP valves if they are damaged. New hardware is included with these seals as it typically corrodes.

Replacement Seals for Valterra 1-1/2 Diameter Waste Valve
The replacement seals for the Kit # TC172 can be found on our site as part # T1001-9VP. This comes both with 2 seals and with some replacement hardware. The seals should do the trick, but if you're still experiencing a drop somewhere I'd do some double checking to make sure that you have everything installed properly and that any sealant you've used elsewhere is holding up.
