Replacing a cracked or discolored skylight garnish means you need a proper fit without guesswork. This neo-angle inner garnish fits matching 24" x 12" corner cutouts and lets in natural light, giving your ceiling a finished look.
Finding a replacement that lines up with a neo-angle cutout can stall a repair, especially when exact specs are unclear. This garnish is built for a 24" x 12" neo-angle cutout with a 26" x 13-1/2" flange, so it aligns with this specific opening style and provides full interior coverage. You can focus on matching the shape and size instead of chasing exact model specs.
Interior trim that sits too high can interfere with the skylight above or reduce usable space. With an approximate 5" bubble height, this garnish is shaped to nest without contacting the skylight when measurements are verified. You keep the intended clearance without unwanted contact points.
Fully clear garnishes can highlight unfinished areas around the cutout, while fully white ones reduce incoming light. This design uses a clear top to allow direct light in, paired with white sides that help hide exposed foam and wood. You get a brighter interior without drawing attention to rough edges around the opening.
Missing hardware during installation can slow things down if you're not prepared. This garnish installs using 1" screws, which are not included, and some people add butyl tape (sold separately) inside the flange. That tape can help block water from getting inside, while others skip it so any skylight leak shows up right away instead of being hidden. Having your materials ready and knowing how you want to seal it avoids delays once you start.

Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we are looking at our Specialty Recreation Inner Garnish for your RV Skylight. That's 24 by 12 inch in a neo angle and a white. So folks, make sure you're getting the right size. You're gonna use this in a 24 by 12 inch cutout, but this is sized with a 26 by 14 inch flange.
And the way they're measuring that is straight across the bottom, and then up one side here. Now it doesn't matter if you go this way and this way, or that way and up on this side, those are gonna be the measurements. Now, this is a UV resistant polycarbonate. It's gonna stand up to sun exposure without cracking or discoloring. The center here is very, very strong, as you can see, and it pops right back up out into the same shape.
So I love doing these videos just to show that, and if nothing else, it is kind of fun to punch something, right But no, this really is very strong. You're not gonna worry about anything getting through it. Now remember, this is the inner garnish, so you would need another garnish on the outside if you're replacing the whole kit. So make sure you're checking that out here at etrailer.com. If you have questions about what that is or which one you need, reach out to us as well.
We can help you. There's no screws included. Those are sold separately if you need some. And if you get the outer garnish, you're gonna need a tube of sealant as well. Now the bubble height of the height of this whole unit, or the thickness if you wanna call it that, is approximately five inches, give or take.
That can slightly vary due to the plastic and the molding process and those kind of things. Now this will soften harsh sunlight, and uses this white polycarbonate that's actually gonna diffuse the light, giving you a more comfortable interior. And that's gonna wrap it up, folks. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
