Specs:
Remove the old skylight, then clean and prep the roof surface so it's dry and debris-free. For added sealing, apply butyl tape (sold separately) along the skylight flange before setting it in place. Secure it with 1" zinc or stainless steel screws (not included), then seal over the flange edges and fasteners with sealant approved for use with polycarbonate plastic. An install kit and extra sealant are available separately (SR76RR or SR86RR). If you'd like help installing your skylight, check out our Installer Locator to find an installer near you.

Hello, neighbors, Steve here with etrailer.com. Folks, today we're looking at our Specialty Recreation universal replacement skylight for a 14 by 22 inch rough opening in a nice white color. Now folks, you're gonna get three of these. I'm gonna go ahead and move a couple of them out of the way just so I can showcase the one individually. So again, you're gonna need a 14 by 22 inch long cutout. Now, overall edge to edge, I measured 26 long edge to edge, 18 wide on the actual exterior of this.
Has a five inch tall bubble. As you can see, it's a white material, it's kind of translucent, it's gonna diffuse light and reduce glare. And the installation, hardware and sealant is not included, so you will need to pick up some screws and sealant. But the nice thing is, as you can see, it's got the screw holes already drilled in place from the manufacturer. There's a view of the inside, again, just your standard bubble for the skylight.
Now folks, the fact that this is a three pack, it makes it easy to get, maybe have an extra round, or if you wanna install three, you got a pack of three. It's gonna replace damage or worn skylights on your RV, camper or enclosed trailer. Now folks, again made here in the US, quantity three, one year warranty. Again, make sure you're getting the right sealant as well. So Specialty Recreation sells a sealant that we carry here sold separately.
I recommend you get that. And you don't want to use any self-leveling sealants that are out there because the polycarbonate and the chemicals and those self-leveling do not mix, and that would cause a catastrophic failure at the part where you need it to be sealed the best. So again, make sure you pick up the Specialty Recreation adhesive sold separately. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.

Great product! Justas described.
Excellent experience as always with etrailer !
Nice solid piece, it feels stronger than the original that's replacing. The Smoke tint will help reduce temperatures in the RV.
Great service!
As described in ad. Same as original
Perfect fit and much stronger than the OEM it replaced
Couldn’t find it even on the camper sit es.
Product as described. Looking forward to installing it.
So far, so good. Not damaged in transient. Have yet to install skylite and garnish. High quality, looks like they will fit my ‘99 HR Endeavor. Will report more later. Thanx
Really like the skylight fit as describe
This skylight is a high quality replacement. The skylight is made from a much more durable plastic than OEM. It does not come with the tube of caulk that is shown in the picture so just keep that in mind when ordering. I recommend using butyl tape under screw holes and sealing the top with 3 tubes of Lap sealant.
Good quality, fair price,
Perfect fit, sealant was correct amount to cover outer edge surface and more.
Skylight and garnish are great however one tube of the sealant would never even come close to completing the job. This kit should come with 2 tubes of sealant.
This skylight seems a little thinner and flimsy compared to icon brand but fit our old inner skylight perfectly.
Looks pretty decent quality, but for $130 bucks they could have included the mounting screws.
Perfect fit and easy installation. Instructions provided were spot-on. No issues at all. Well done.
Thanks for the fast delivery! The skylight was excellent and fit perfect. I’m
The unit I was shipped was quite badly warped at the corners unfortunately. I decided not to install it on my roof, because I was concerned it would not maintain a good seal, or potentially crack. For example when holding down the screw holes, there was a gap between the plastic skylight and roof surface. Maybe it would have been OK for a year or two, but I didn't want to drill new holes in my roof without confidence that it would survive a long while (5+ years).
Replaced original skylight and fit well. Easy installation
A tree limb fall and shattered my original skylight only three days before a big trip.
Etrailer shipped my replacement to South Carolina in under 48 hours and I was able to have everything replaced and ready to go before my big trip.
THANKS ETRAILER!
This skylight was the only one I could find that would work as a replacement for the factory skylight over the shower of my Lance 2185 trailer. I tried an Icon first but it did not fit with the factory inner dome. Although this skylight is the only replacement that fit, the Icon product was sturdier and thicker. I would have gone with Icon if they had one that fit, but I'm okay with this one, assuming it holds up.
These skylights are good replacements for the original skylights. But the original skylights turned yellow and brittle during their six year life, even though the trailer always has shade when parked. So these new ones will likely only last 5 or 6 years as well. Considering how much work it is to replace them, I probably should have upgraded them to Lexan for greater durabilty.
Overall, these are very good replacement skylights. They're molded very well, and are slightly thicker than the original one on my TT that had cracked and been leaking unbeknownst to me since last year. The only complaint is that they're predrilled, and at least 5 of the holes were too close to screw holes from the
original skylight which I didn't want to reuse. Drilling extra holes with virtually no splitting or spalling wasn't difficult at all, but this left 5 irregularly spaced open holes in the skylight edge that simply ended up being filled when the butyl rubber sealant was being compressed as it was screwed into position. The end result should still be very robust and decent looking after I'm able to apply the selected lap sealant as soon as weather permits, but I could have easily established my own optimal screw hole pattern if there had been no predrilled holes. Still very pleased, though.

I appreciate your insight Thomas, this is valuable feedback! Even with the hole issue, I'm glad you were able to get this installed and seal the deal. Looks like you’ll have the perfect view once the weather cooperates, keep those positive vibes shining through :)
