Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the RV Designer GripSafe Handrail. Now, folks, this is gonna be a 22-inch-long assistive handrail in white. So obviously when it's installed, it's gonna be standing up like this and it would be on the wall of your RV or camper. And as you can see, you've got this nice massive rubberized grip here and it does have the ergonomic molded spots there for your fingers, for your hand to hold.
And it really is really nice. It's got a lot of support. It's very nice as far as the grip. The textured shape really helps your hand naturally kind of go in place and just stay there. But what's cool about this and like most other ones out on the market is you've got these release tabs here and here and all you simply have to do is push that.
Now, obviously, again, when this is installed, it's gonna do automatically on both of 'em and you would be able to then rotate the handle out of the way if it was up on the wall and then pop it right back out, it'll snap into place whenever it's time to use it. And, of course, you're gonna get the hardware needed for the installation and you're gonna get a template included. You got four screw holes for each side and that's what those screws are going to cover. And then these plastic parts here just pop back and that's where you'll access those screw holes. So, again, very nice ergonomic handle.
Again, overall length, 22 inches long. As far as the extension, as far as if this was your wall out, I got 15 1/2 inches out from the wall. So, again, folks, this will cover existing mounting holes, so if you already have something but you like this better, the brackets here will help hide old hole patterns when you're upgrading your previous rail. That being said, I do recommend filling them in with some kind of caulking or silicone of that nature to keep, you know, water and moisture out of those pre-existing holes. But again, you're gonna get new hardware and everything with this.
