These electric steps open when the door swings out and tuck away when it closes, so you don’t have to think about deploying or storing them. The motor and control unit handle the movement automatically, and a switch kit lets you lock the steps in the extended position when parked. The included amber incandescent light makes the steps easy to see at night.
The steps are made from sturdy, powder coated steel with weatherproof wiring and air-pressed rivets at each pivot point for long-term strength. Solid steel drive rods and stainless steel bushings add extra durability. Each step is 24" wide x 8" deep with an 8" rise, and the whole assembly supports up to 300 lbs without flexing.
If the steps hit an obstacle while extending, they automatically retract to prevent damage. When the vehicle’s ignition is turned on, the steps retract even if they’re locked open—so you’ll never drive away with them down. Non-slip tread and reflective strips help keep your footing steady in all conditions.
With three evenly spaced steps and a total extended height of 21-1/4", entry feels natural and balanced. The assembly has an overall width of 26-5/16" and a folded height of 12-5/16", giving plenty of clearance when stowed. The 12V motor, 10A control unit, and C193 incandescent light bulb come prewired and ready to connect with the included 4-way plug or pigtail.
