Today we're going to be taking a look at the power grip heavy duty replacement RV power cord plug. This is a 50 amp male plug that replaces an older damaged connector on your RV's power cord. It's going to feature the nice built in handle, makes unplugging the connector pretty quick and easy. Makes it an effortless task to do. The round ground terminal is compatible with older style receptacles. The unit's a bright yellow in color so it's always going to be highly visible. Replacing the plug on your power cord is a pretty simple process; what you'll need to do is remove the screws that hold the two pieces of this housing together.
Once you have those screws removed you can actually separate the plug and it will allow you to gain access internally to the connection points. Then you'll need to attach the wires to the correct terminal posts, put it back together, reinstall the screws and then right here is your strain relief bracket. You'll use these two screws to tighten that strain relief bracket around the cord and that's all there is to it. That's going to do it for today's look at the power grip heavy duty replacement RV power cord plug.

This adapter solved our conversion problem.
Now we trickle charge our RV battery by
plugging this adapter into a 110v socket;
the plug our 30amp RV cord into the adapter.
Noter that this is for tricle charge ONLY,
so do not use when full 220v power is required!

It functions as designed. The pull handle does make it difficult to pull through the coaches original inlet; but, the handle makes it easy to disconnect from power source.
Easy to work with. The instructions were very good.
To get this plug end installed I had to strip the heads on three of the screws. There is no reason to tighten these screws so tight at the factory.
Replaced damaged OEM plug. Installed easily and works great.

Works great, no problems
I recently bought a 12000 watt electric generator. I intend to use it for emergency, whole house power during electrical power outages, such as wind storms, ice and snow emergencies, etc. The generator has a 50 amp female outlet on the panel.
I intend to use the CAM55255 to supply electric power to the house circuit breaker panel through switch gear.
Big box stores offer 50 amp male connectors, but are not conducive to frequent disconnects because they have no handles. The beauty of the CAM55255si that it has a convenient handle to accommodate frequent connects and disconnects.

This is the second 50 amp RV plug I have ordered. SEVERAL years ago I ordered one for 50 amp extension cord. It is still in good condition. I ordered this second one for my motorhome shore power cord. No matter how small or large your order, customer service is tops. Perfect!
Easy to install. Better than the original plug.
These connectors are not great. They are thin flimsy plastic. Trying to get 6g wire into them is not easy and the connections they make are questionable for 50amps. They might work for a little bit but I don't have high hopes that they will last for a long time.
The plugs work well and the instructions were excellent.
