Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this 15 foot long by 3/4 inch tall Stick-On Rubber Door Compartment Seal for your RVs and trailers. Now, this is a hollow, half-round rubber seal with a single tab that's used to weatherproof the doors or hatches on your RV or trailer, and it can also be used on storage compartments. The size on this is gonna be 3/4 inch wide and 3/4 inch tall to the top of that tab. Now, one note is this seal should be installed with this tab to the outside to help keep the weather and pest out. It does use a peel-and-stick installation, has the pre-applied 3M adhesive backing.
Basically, you just simply peel off the backing paper and then apply the seal. Now, surface preparation is recommended to remove any old adhesive. And if you need to trim this, you can use scissors to trim the extra seals. Now, the seal also features the skirted peel-and-stick design, which is a recessed adhesive design. And just to show you that, if we look at the profile again, that adhesive tape right down there you can see has rubber skirts around it, so it's actually recessed.
That skirting around the recessed adhesive tape protects that adhesive from collecting moisture and debris, also giving a nice finished look when the seal is installed. Now, this is an EPDM dense rubber construction, so it won't shrink, crack, or fade over time, and it is resistant to UV damage. Again, it's 15 feet in length, 3/4 inch wide, 3/4 inch tall, and it is made in the USA. But that should do it for a look at this 15 foot long, 3/4 inch tall Stick-On Rubber Door Compartment Seal for your RV or trailer.

Used a little thicker rubber than the original. Sealed back door perfectly!!
Rubber seems good, adhesive gave up after a couple of months inspite of a lot of prep work.

Look for quite awhile to find the correct weather seal for my hybrid drop down beds. Manufacturer wanted to sell me a one thousand foot roll. At 2.00 dollars a foot. Finally found the exact replacement on etrailer at an awesome price.
Good quality, good adhesive, easy application. The website however was difficult while trying to order a rubber cement. I never did find the rubber cement.
