Designed for straight steps, this durable outdoor step rug gives you a place to wipe off your feet after a hike on the trails. Heavy-duty carpet has a micro-ribbed texture for better traction, so you can climb in and out of your RV safely, but is also soft for bare feet and puppy paws.
The rug wraps around your step and secures with included springs - no screws, glue, or tools needed. Springs connect the front and back grommet holes of the rug underneath your RV step to give you a clean, seamless look. Choose between multiple sets of grommet holes depending on the size of your step. Rug can quickly be removed for cleaning and easily reattached when you're finished.

Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this Prest-O-Fit Outrigger RV Step Rug. This is an 18-inch wide step rug. That's gonna cover up your straight manual or electric RV step and it's going to have several different benefits. One, it's going to give you a place to wipe your feet clean so that as you go up into your RV, you're not going to be tracking as much dirt in and so that's going to make cleaning your floors easier.
Can we keep your floors cleaner This is also a solid design. So if you have pets that are afraid of walking up and down the steps with the holes that allow you to see through them, this is going to create that solid steps that they have the confidence to climb up and down, in and out of your RV. This is a nice heavy-duty chocolate brown outdoor car carpet. So it's going to hold up really well in the environments. It does have the micro ribbing texture so it's gonna be slip resistant.
So, as we're climbing in and even if we have wet feet, we're gonna have a nice traction there. It is constructed of a UV and mold as well as mildew resistant carpeting material. So it's going to hold up really well. Very easy to clean. If you are wanting to clean it, so there are a couple of springs here on the bottom.
You can just simply pull those springs off and we'll pull off the carpet. You can just spray that down with the hose and then let it dry and then put it right back in place. After it's dried, you can see our carpet does have a couple of different grommets. That's four different step depths. So as we're putting it back in place, you can line that up with either that front grommet or this farther grommet depending on the depth of your step.
That will accommodate up to eight inches of depth so should work for a wide variety of RV steps for you and it's going to keep that tension on there so it's not going to move around. It's gonna be nice and solid. So you're not slipping as you're putting the weight on the rug. This is made here in the USA. I think it's gonna do a good job of hiding dirt and mud, that sort of thing. But we do have other options available here at etrailer.com as well. This was an easy install. The springs on my previous step covers rusted and busted. After being on for a year, the springs still look and work great!
We like the step covers for the fact that you keep most of the mess out of the rv and the nonslip cover makes it safer on wet day's
This is our second set of step protectors. We got the first set to try and cut down on the amount of debris that is tracked into our camper. Not only did the protectors do that, they also eliminated how slick the steps were if they were the slightest bit wet. I would highly recommend them!
I like these step covers. They fit well, are easy to keep clean, and help to remove dirt and debris from shoes and feet and keep it outside. But most of all, they make it much easier for our 4-legged travel companion to go up and down the steps.
Purchased 2 for our class A motorhome. These actually replaced the ones I previously purchased. They've lasted for 2 years. Excellent quality! I don't however use the springs it comes with. I find they are too difficult to stretch to hook into the grommet. I use black wire ties instead. Works great.

Just received these a couple days ago. They seem to be quality step rugs. I haven't had time to go to the storage lot to check the fit and install. I think these will allow my dog to use the steps easier because the metal seems to scare her.

These were installed on a 2022 Winnebago View with electric steps. I was concerned that they might be too thick for proper operation of the steps. They were easy to install and the steps worked as they should. Etrailer does it again!
This a a good wide step cover. It was used to cover two 30 x 11 steps on a ‘14 Tiffin Allegro. The Outrigger was paired with 2 Prest-O-Fit landing steps that each have 2 Velcro strips to secure interior rig in place.
Stair covers were exactly what I expected, the instructions are very clear on installation, it took me roughly 15 to 20 minutes to install five stair covers and shortly thereafter, all three of our small dogs were going up and down them without any problem.
In the pictures, we did offset them to one side since when the fifth wheel door is open you don’t have access to that much of the stair so it’s actually centered for the amount of stair we walk up

The videos of the options available for the width and depth of our steps were extremely valuable. We selected the “Outrigger” version which provides a softer feel. Although the “Astro turf” style would clean better, we felt that bare feet would appreciate the less aggressive texture. The fit and finish of the product is spot on. In order to get a straight pull on the tension securing springs with an 11” step depth, the grommets face outward on the edge of the step. This is not a problem for us although it is worth mentioning.
