The rug wraps around your step and secures with included hook-and-loop fastening strips and springs - no screws, glue, or tools needed. The 2 hook-and-loop fastening strips stick to the front edge and top, back portion of the step. Once the rug is aligned and pressed firmly to the step, the springs connect the front and back grommet holes of the rug underneath your RV step, giving you a clean, seamless look. Choose between multiple sets of grommet holes depending on the size of your step. Rug can quickly be removed for cleaning and easily reattached when you're finished.

This is gonna be a heavy-duty carpet material-like cover that can go over your OEM plastic or metal steps. This is definitely gonna be an upgrade, where you're gonna have a more smooth material, but it'll also not just feel better, but look better on your trailer or your motorhome. So let's go take a look at some of your options and features and help you figure out what's gonna be the best step cover for you. The owners of this motorhome have actually had their Prest-O-Fit step covers for a while now, and it still works just like how they first got it, you have tight tension on this step, no slack over time.
Now, the material itself has flattened out a little bit from the years of use, but you still have pretty much full step cover here. There's no holes, no fraying. It's just a little thinner than before. So if we we inchesre to upgrade by getting new step cover, they we inchesre wondering about what options do they have there The main thing is you want to get the right step cover to fit your steps, and Prest-O-Fit as well as etrailer has many options when it comes to the dimensions of your step as well as the material that you are looking for. So do you have straight steps Do you have curved steps The good news is that the Outrigger universal covers fits both.
The Outrigger specifically has a more outdoor carpet material, where you have that soft micro-ribbed texture, but it is also made of your outdoorsy material that is UV, mold, and mildew resistant, so compared to more absorbent cloths. And that means that if you have grass or dirt, you can wipe off your shoes on this carpet. We can also just hose this off if it gets too dirty. No big deal. I like the carpet material.

We would love to help you out with making sure you get the right cover for you. The universal design means it should fit pretty much every step, but here's how I measure my step for reference. So I first go for the width, and we're gonna want to do tread ends to tread ends. We have it at around 23 inches. And then you also wanna go for depth, and depth is the depth of the step front to back, then that is going to be 8 1/2 inches in our case. They, meaning the neighbor, actually got the smaller step covers. So what they're gonna get today is gonna be an upgrade. You can see that our 22 inch wide covers have more coverage on the step, which means that more will be covered, more comfort there, and the pets will be less likely to just walk on that metal. So looking over, you can see how nicely this fits. Looking from below, and we still have their old covers here for reference, you can see where they secured the spring. So you're gonna get these springs included. And to that universal design, you can choose between the different holes to get the best fit on your cover. So aim for the tightest fit as you go from that rear flap to the front flap to secure the whole system. And this will take a little bit of time the first time, but just do that until all the flaps on your step are secured. And there you have it. It's all installed. It looks very sleek, so much more coverage. Plus, it's newer than the older step cover.
