This pretty looking rig is a 2022 Fleetwood Discovery and we're gonna be taking a look at the Stromberg Carlson base pads. So this is gonna go on your leveling jacks underneath your RV to protect them but also kind of expand the surface area of it. You can either buy just one of them, you could buy two of them, but on this particular RV we are doing the pack of four because we have four different landing pads. So then you can also grab a six if that's something that you need. Right here you can see what we're working with. It's gonna have a heavy duty rubber construction.

This is going to grip the uneven terrain, just prevent the metal from rusting out. And notice we have like, a little horseshoe design I like to say, where one side is a little bit more open. That's just to prevent our metal pads right here from rusting away so that water is gonna drain out. It's gonna protect it from rocks, roots, and stuff like that, so it's really gonna prolong the life of your leveling system. It's gonna be for your nine inch round flat jack feet on your Lippert, Pacific Rim, or Venture leveling systems.

With an increased surface area it's just gonna give you a little bit more surface area that hits the ground, so it prevents against some of the sinking if you're in some softer type terrain. And this is gonna be something that you put on and it stays on. So this is gonna make sure you don't have to get under here every single time to put it on there. You do it once and you can enjoy it for the rest of its life. It's gonna support any coaches up to a hundred thousand pounds, so this thing's pretty heavy duty and it's gonna work with pretty much anything you throw at it.

It was a one time install, but when I was in there there's not a whole lot of room, so we're gonna get underneath there and show you how I got it on there. But once it's done, it's done. The first thing we did is lower down our jacks a little bit to get a little bit more accessible. So what we wanna do here is we kind of just get one side in and then just take a flathead screwdriver and you're just gonna kind of pry this out all the way around and work it into place. Work your way around the best you can.

Soapy water might help a little bit, but I think we can get it just with the screwdriver. You kind of wanna start on this end back here 'cause it's not something that's all the way around. So if we can get the end up there the rest should be fairly easy, and luckily this kind of turns and rotates on this so that's gonna help us out a little bit. We're just gonna have to work with it until it snaps into place. And once we have it fully on what you wanna do is lower this down a little bit and put some pressure on it just to make sure it's fully seated in there. We're gonna have two different options of pads for your leveling system on your RV. We went through the internet and tried to figure out which one you guys liked the most. We saw that you like the Stromberg Carlson version more because they said it was a little bit easier to install. I don't really agree with that. I'm not really too impressed with how easy these is installed just because I had to really get underneath there and you have to have a really small flathead screwdriver because there's kind of a lot going on under there. So very minimal space to work with. I don't necessarily love the ways that these installed. And that's the Stromberg Carlson. This one is just the snap pads. They're called snap pads because you kind of put it up and level with your landing, your leveling gear and then you lower it down and it should snap into place. These weren't super easy to install either, but it was a little bit less strenuous on me. At the end of the day you do need to put these on your levelers on your RVs just because it's gonna protect the metal. It's also gonna make the surface area a little bit wider and it's gonna be a less rigid surface to go down to the ground. So you're gonna need one of the other. I think both of them have their pluses and minuses but it's all just gonna protect your stuff and increase the surface area. So I really think that either of these are gonna be a great option. There's not one that really stands out to me. But that'll do it for a look at the Stromberg Carlson leveling pads..
