Adco Olefin Installed

Summer is over, and you're worried about your travel trailer getting dirty and damaged in storage during high winds, snow flurries, and spring thunderstorms. Whether you're storing your trailer in the sunny south, rainy northwest, or snowy north, this heavy-duty cover is designed to protect your trailer in any climate. When you keep your trailer covered during the winter, you are less likely to need to wash and wax it at the start of the camping season. And if you want to trade your trailer in for a newer model later down the road, this cover will help maintain that resale value.

The durable, high-density Olefin top panel won't crack or fade when exposed to harmful UV rays and won't let dirt and dust particles cake onto the surface of your trailer. It also beads water when it rains to eliminate the black streaks and corrosion you tend to see on the sides and roof of your trailer.

How to Measure Your Travel Trailer

Adco How to Measure Travel Trailer

To determine if this cover will work for you, measure the overall length of your trailer from the very front of the trailer to the rear bumper, making sure you're accounting for any spare tire carriers and ladders on the back. The cover isn't meant to fit over the tongue of your trailer, so don't include those in your measurements. Then measure the overall height from the bottom of the chassis to the top of your trailer. Do not include any AC units, vents, or antennas in your height measurement, as the cover is already designed to accommodate them.

Securing the Cover onto Your Travel Trailer

Adco Olefin Securing with Integrated Straps

The included ladder cap and rain gutter covers help prevent the cover from splitting on those areas of the trailer, so install those first. Then unroll the cover and carefully spread it evenly around your trailer, making sure you don't pull too hard and tear the fabric. The cover is labeled with "front" and "rear" to help you position the cover correctly on your RV.

Once the cover is in place, pull on the cinch ropes on the front and the rear until the cover fits snugly around the contours of your rig. These ropes remove any excess slack in the material, especially if your trailer is slightly shorter in length. Then toss the weighted straps underneath your trailer to the other side and buckle them together. These straps keep the cover secure on your trailer, preventing it from flapping in the wind and damaging the paint job.

Adco Olefin Zippered Access Door

And if you still need to winterize or if you need to access one of the cargo compartments, you can use the zippered panels on the passenger's side to easily access the interior of your trailer without having to completely remove the cover.

I have a 2018 Lance 1995. This is the right size cover for this trailer. This is a good universal type cover ,but it is not a custom fit. This cover looks like it will work fine, but since the trailer has a curved from section it does not fit as well in the front as it does in the back. I have had to use bungee cords to help take up the slack and make a area for water to drain off the roof. I had to decide to either cover the propane tanks or the read bumper. I chose the tanks. If you get the next size up there will be too much cover and you will have issues dealing with the extra material. This cover is just long enough to reach the bottom of the siding with no extra material. It was arrived quickly from E Trailer. I suggest watching the installation video. It was helpful.

The Adco cover worked great! It did a good job keeping the trailer clean.

@StevenT That's great! We're happy to hear your # AD47ZR RV cover is working well for you!

by:

2 people installed the cover today in a light wind. I am a mechanical designer. I am not receiving any compensation for this review. This is our first cover going on our first RV. We ordered/received the the 22' long cover for the trailer which measures ~22' bumper to hitch ball plus some for the spare tire on the bumper. I am happy with the fit though it looks like it would fit a trailer whose "box" is about 3' longer and still go over the tanks and spare tire. I thought the ordering instructions said to include the tanks in the front and the bumper/spare tire in the back when determining the length.

There were no instructions except to "dull" sharp corners. The little foam tubes went on the gutter ends and I used black tape around sharp points on the bottom.

The only bad thing about the cover are the buckles/buckles: they worked but 1) they are too light duty, too weak, and the sections too thin in my opinion and 2) the design stinks because I want to hold the female end right where you press to release the buckle which was annoying but I figured out how to do it and it was more awkward than it needed to be considering other similar buckle types.

I got on the roof to pull the cover over from the side (not the front or back) over the ac, tv antenna, bathroom vent, etc and that worked well. It was too hard to pull the cover over the first top corner with me on a ladder and wife on the ground. If I could not get on the roof, we both would need to be on ladders. Or tie a rope to the straps and try to pull it over the top. Maybe try to pull it over from the front.

The fit is very good: good width, more than enough length and good height. I am glad the height was no taller so as to keep it from wrapping around the bottom which is sharp and the trim ends are sharp. We connected the underneath straps first, then the front and back then cinched the top and bottom corners to pull the whole thing tight along the perimeter.

All of the buckles are the same so I was able to repurpose some straps to wrap around the spare tire and bumper and connect to some other buckles for a better tie down arrangement. I would have liked a strap in the front middle to tie down under the tanks.

Otherwise, there are just the right number of straps underneath. I don't think more would help and less would make me nervous.

There are 2 flaps zipped on one side for a door at the front and/or the rear. I unzipped the front flap, sloppily rolled it up and attached the 3 velcro straps that hold the roll up. I had to undo 1 bottom strap from the flap so I need to rereview this after we have a good wind/rain storm but I think it will be ok. See pics. The trailer is parked in between a tree, shrubs, the house and the neighbors house so it is somewhat protected from some wind. Someone else may need to add a tie along the side bottom to take the place of the rolled up flap. When the flap is down, zipped, it is velcro'd at the bottom to the cover.

The perimeter cinch straps have a sleeve layered on top of the sleeve the strap is in which is great for 2 reasons. 1) you can stick your finger in it to grab it to push the cover back and pull out the strap, then 2) you can regrab it while pulling the strap through the buckle and keep the stress off the strap. This will keep the strap from scrapping and wearing while pulling through the buckle. I took pics and a video of this. And 3), this is another sleeve you can run a line through if needed.

Overall, I am very happy with this cover! It is reasonably thick material, aerated and the holes are covered with a flap to keep rain out, has a lot of straps which are well attached to the cover. The installation went better than expected at ~ 45 minutes and next time I expect to do it in half the time. The door access is a great feature. The cover went over the spare tire and the dual 20 lb tanks plus batteries in the front. One of the pics has the trailer model so you can see for yourself how well this cover fits this trailer. I expect this cover to last until a sharp corner some place tears a hole or the sun finally gets to it. The cover comes with a bag but I have not used it yet. And found a piece of velcro but not sure what for.

PS: Finally looked at the storage bag and found the instructions, self adhesive material to fix holes and weights that can be attached to the straps to throw underneath the vehicle (not over b/c the weight could break a window or make a dent) in a side pocket.

The cover is still working. It has endured a couple dozen rain and hail storms which often have a lot of wind and we had snow. A hole has developed in the front I think because the cover is pulled away from the front of the trailer down to the tanks. I will put the cover on but not over the tanks and make sure the front is pulled against the trailer - no air gaps. It may be my situation but I find the straps do not need to be pulled extremely tight. The straps do not droop under the trailer but there is little tension so as to not pull and potentially rip the cover. The cover does not wrap around the bottom which is good because there are a lot of sharp corners from the trim pieces. The included foam protectors work where the gutter spouts stick out. There are no other holes which is amazing since I found a protector on the ground one time and I dont know how long it was there. I put it back on and there have been no other issues since. The straps and buckles hold. The straps at the top and bottom corners help tighten the cover to the shape of the trailer to minimize slack that the wind can get a hold of. I saw no evidence of deterioration due to the sun, except possibly the front where the hole is. I still believe this has been a worthwhile investment. See you next year.

The quality and fit are very nice. For reference, my Outdoor RV measured 20'10" and additional 16" for the spare tire for total 22'2" Plenty of room to install. The roof fabric was ample for the AC unit. Also noted the cover is full grey material and the white top is added over the grey to make the roof double thick which is a nice bonus. Please note that the manufacturer's paperwork says this cover is NOT water proof.

The cover is holding up well even after heavy snow this year.

by:

Installed per video and first time worked out well. Video implied weighted straps for tossing under trailer and a storage bag were to be included, although neither were nor was that mentioned in description. Would have been nice, though if they had. It installed well and covered trailer as it should. Only time will tell how well it will hold up but I am pleased so far.

by:

After one year already is tearing quite a bit. I've only put it on/off about 6-7 times in the past year. Also interestingly, my solar panels are still able to get power even with cover on so undoubtedly it reduces the UV light quite a bit its not completely. Though I don't mind so much as it kinda trickle charges the batteries. This is being used on a 2022 Ember Overland 190MDB

Yeah, unfortunately this is very common with these covers. Luckily there is a two year warranty available! I will send you the contact information via email. For future reference, I would recommend using pool noodles on the edges of the trailer, under the fabric to protect the cover.

by:

I do really like the quality of this RV Cover. We just put it on for the second time. The material is very light and yet it stood up well to Colorado's pretty heavy snowfall. The storage bag was plenty large enough. I liked the very visible Front and Rear labels when getting it out of the bag. The hold down straps seem to do a great job.
Our trailer is a Lance with a very sloped front end so the cover is far from a perfect fit up front since it's designed for a more boxy shape

We recently put the cover on for the third winter season. The cover still looks like new. No tears or evidence of wear. The straps are holding up perfectly. This year I did have to get back into the trailer a week after putting it on and the access panel and zippers allowed that nicely. Its been a really good purchase.

Upon receiving this cover my first impression is that it is very well made. Time will tell. I don’t expect more than three to five years life in the elements of central Ohio. The 20’-22’ cover fits my Rockwood ROO 235 perfectly

by:

I'm in rainy Washington and got 4 winters out of the last cover AD47ZR which I think is pretty good. I just ordered and received another. The roof is Tyvek type material and is durable, which is the most important to protect the trailer roof from sun. The side material tears fairly easily and I'd like it to be tougher, but I'm careful with it and it's a good product for the money.

by:

My wife and I installed the cover in about an hour. After all the straps snapped together the fit was very nice. It has been about a month now and everything appears to be still in place with a snug fit.

by:

The Cover is advertised as weather resistant, touting its vents to diminish the effect of wind. When my cover ripped I called the manufacturer and was told that wind is weather and the warranty does not cover weather-wind. Why would you tout this advantage in your add but the product fails to hold up after less than one year. The awning ripped (not at the seam mind you) but in the top.

Adco’s representative was condescending, stating that no insurance covers acts of God. Well, wind is pretty prevalent in most areas of the country.

After a condescending discussion with the rep

I would have considered another ADCO RV cover but the ADCO Customer rep was awful, condescending and unhelpful.

I would neither buy again nor recommend this product - espeIally if you have any Wind or Acts of God in your locale.

I am sorry that this cover did not hold up in the weather. Unfortunately, this is very common for Adco covers. Adco prefers to handle all of their own warranties. I highly recommend you contact the manufacturer to get this replaced under warranty.

by:

This cover is an awesome fit and seems to be very well made. I have had a few covers on other campers we had and none fit this nice. I hope this holds up well it seems to be made well and I think the good fit will help.

I have had this cover for more than a year now and the cover is holding up very well. We have had some very high winds this year and there are no rips or even stress points. I love this cover so far.

by:

Due to supply chain issues etrailer was the only outlet with the cover I wanted. I have not installed this cover yet but was very pleased with a similar cover from ADCO. Normally avoid etrailer due to a refused return because their part lookup was not accurate and I had packed the bearings.

Perfect fit this time. Last one was a bit too big. Working well with snow covering it now.

by:

Used it on my 2013 Lance 1985 trailer. With ladder, it was just over 20'long, so I went with the 22' size cover. I think I could have gotten away using the 20' cover because of the sloped front end of the trailer. Other than that, it went on well. The extra material covers my propane tanks and battery box. We'll see how it holds up this winter.

by:

Love the cover for our travel trailer. Fits like a glove.

by:

Very well made cover! I used eTrailers online make/model "fit" tool and it fits my camper perfectly!!

by:

Did it's job and kept sun & snow damage to a minimum.

by:

The cover fit well. Pretty easy to get on and off. I believe the cover was supposed to last 3 years. After about 6 months, I started to notice small holes in several places. This was caused from the wind and the cover constantly rubbing in certain places. I don’t feel it would have lasted 3 years. I finally had a RV cover built. Worth the investment.

by:

This is the best cover that I have had to date. The size is generous for a 22'-4" trailer. The roof is covered with snow for several months and it has held up well. The trailer has solar panels on the roof and I place heavy pipe insulation on the corners of the panels. Be sure to protect the trailer corners or gutter extensions with foam or the pieces supplied.

by:

Seems to fit well. Our trailer was just over 20’.

by:

Very durable and easy to install! We will see in the spring how well it holds up with western New York winter!

by:

Easy on-line ordering. Great quality of fabric, fits great! Just what we needed.

by:

I think everything was great except the way it was packed.

by:

Doesn’t fit lots of extra in the front two straps are broken it’s useless to me

Brooke M.

1/20/2023

It sounds like maybe the cover was too big. These do come with warranties and you would want to contact the manufacturer directly about that. When it comes to measuring, you want to measure the overall length of your trailer from the very front of the trailer to the rear bumper, making sure youre accounting for any spare tire carriers and ladders on the back. The cover isnt meant to fit over the tongue of your trailer, so dont include those in your measurements. Then measure the overall height from the bottom of the chassis to the top of your trailer. Do not include any AC units, vents, or antennas in your height measurement, as the cover is already designed to accommodate them.

by:

Bought this to cover my new travel trailer that will be stored for the winter. I put this cover on by myself which can be done if you read the directions. The straps seem to be heavy duty enough and if you use the enclosed weights to get them underneath it’s pretty simple.I will see how this holds up in the Colorado winters… Not looking forward to it, winter that is.

by:

great product, easy to install, but in-addition need laundry baskets ( up-side down) to cover round antenna on trailer roof so cover will not tear on sharp edges, from antenna. see [online] video on how to easily install cover. hope it lasts for several years.
