Protect your RV slide-out from debris and keep moisture out of your siding with this slide-topper awning. Prevents water damage and mildew. Made for slide-outs that measure up to 7'1" from edge to edge. Includes all necessary components.
Features:
Specs:
To ensure you get the correct size awning for your slide-out, measure from outer edge to outer edge of the trim. You will need 7" of clearance on both sides of the slide-out for the awning. If you don't have 7" clearance on both sides, go down to the next size; this will still give your slide-out plenty of coverage.
If there are two slide-outs next to each other, you will need a total of 14" of clearance between them for them both to have a slide-out awning. Again, you can go down a size if you are low on space.
Without a slide-topper, the roof of your slide-out room is continually exposed and can accumulate leaves and bugs and different types of debris. That debris can build up along the rubber strip at the top of your box, preventing a firm seal when your slide-out is retracted. Rain water can then get in and pool on the top of your slide-out. If you don't clear the water off each time it rains, mold can begin to form. And when your slide-out is pulled in, that mold gets inside your RV.
The Solera RV slide-out awning alleviates those problems by serving as a protective covering over the top of your RV's slide-out. Not only does it prevent debris from collecting on the roof of your slide-out, but it keeps water from pooling and potentially causing damage down the road. Because it mounts directly to the front of the slide box, the slide-out awning is able to automatically extend and retract every time the slide-out room is extended or retracted.
The durable awning fabric holds up to the rigors of the outdoors. It's made of premium 13.5-oz vinyl, which is an upgrade over the 10-oz fabric used in many awnings. This fabric also features heat-welded seams to prevent leaks. And it is made to withstand cold temperatures down to -25 degrees Fahrenheit, so it won't crack or degrade during the winter.
Use the self-tapping screws to secure the included access plate to the side of your slide-out, positioning the plate at the bottom of the T-molding. The two access brackets slide easily onto the access plate's track. The rods that are located at each end of the roller tube, which comes with the awning fabric already mounted, slide through the hole in the two access brackets.
The included awning rail is used to anchor the other side of the fabric to your RV. This rail can be mounted up to 5" above the trim on top of your slide box.
Note: It's important that the slide-topper sits at as steep an angle as possible so that any rainwater will drain immediately. Any water that sits in the awning can stretch out the fabric permanently and warp it out of shape.

Protect your RV slide-out from debris and keep moisture out of your siding with this slide-topper awning. Prevents water damage and mildew. Made for slide-outs that measure up to 7'1" from edge to edge. Includes all necessary components.I purchased a total of 5 slide toppers for my Grand Design Solitude 390RK. After a year of use I love them. No more climbing on the roof to clean off the slide outs before retracting them. Very little flapping and only in very strong winds. Had one person helping to install 3 of them, 2 I installed by myself. It wasn't that hard. Took a little over an hour to install each one. Saved hundreds of dollars by doing it myself. Would definitely buy them and install them again again. Had very fast and good service from etrailer.
Your choice of LTL carrier is poor at best. They arrived a week later than what they originally scheduled. All 3 packing tubes that the slide toppers were shipped in were damaged. Off loading and inspecting was a challenge in 106deg heat and a busy roadway. Did manage to confirm that the hardware kits were still intact. As for tube damage we will see what they look like during install this weekend
Carol, I wanted to send you photos of how I received my two packages from the freight company. Y'all have been great to deal with but the delivery method needs improving. As long as my awnings are not missing any parts and are not damaged, I will be happy. But I just got back home and found the boxes like this. I thought you would want to know.
While we love the slide out on our travel trailer, that is nothing but a potential problem. Leaves and debris lay on top and eventually prevent a good seal when closed, water pooling and potential leaking...and the list goes on.
We made the decision to buy and self install the Solera Slide Topper. The topper arrived in a large, well packed cardboard tube. All parts were present. It took my wife and I about 1:45 minutes to complete the installation. We are super pleased with how it turned out and have no complaints at all. Once again...eTrailer to the rescue!
I will note a couple of things that buyers/installers need to be aware of. While none of these are a deal breaker...knowledge is power. Some of the hardware (screws) are not painted black. After installation, I took a can of black spray paint and sprayed a little in a paper cup and used a Q-tip to apply the paint to the unpainted heads. The other thing is the tension. Wow...that is one strong spring! I found that the tension was so tight that it actually prevented the top of the slide out from fully extending. I knew this because before installing it I actually felt how tight the inside seal was against the interior wall when the slide was out. After the install I could easily slip my fingers between the inside trailer wall and the slideout seal. I ended up unwinding the spring by two full turns. After that, the slideout seal was firm against the interior wall! Yea! The awning itself was still very taunt and without sag.
A word of caution about removing the spring keeper pin or unwinding the arm. Make sure you FULLY understand what you are doing. That is NOT something you want to mess up on. While we had no problems in doing this...I am familiar with spring loaded rotational forces and understand the instant damage they can do!
Very pleased...and would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for an inexpensive way to cover and protect your slide out!
The package arrived with some damage. The awning rail is bent in in one place and both access brackets will need to be filed so the access plates will slide on. Not sure what the screw is for.

Thank you for reaching out. Customer service will be in touch to assist you.
etrailer was awesome. I was on the phone with a tech giving dimensions of my slide outs of my camper, the tech got the right toppers and shipped it out to me. I was cautious ordering online, but etrailer made it easy and I trust that they have my best interest to have my business. Slide toppers we easy to install by myself
Have been a customer of etrailer for many years, know from past orders the products I order will be excellent quality @ reasonable prices, with that in mind I do compare prices with other suppliers but I know etrailer stands behind their product and will make it right. Can't say that for some suppliers dealth with in past, don't have time to wait for replacements from 2nd or 3rd party. Know the part is right, excellent quality and usually have it on operating within next day of delivery. Did I mention FREE Shipping!
Very easy installation. Be sure to count all your fasteners. Someone doesn't know how to count....I had to make a trip to the store. But very pleased with product.
Good quality slide-out awnings! Installation was straightforward, no issues. Very happy to find that they have pretty high spring tension so they won't sag anytime soon. My slides measured right between the awning size recommendations, and I decided to go with the smaller of the two options. They don't hang over the slides as much as I would have liked, but I still think this is better than having them hang TOO far over, and risk the extension arms failing, or pulling the screws out.
On a side note, I had a problem with shipping, and eTrailer was AWESOME in getting me a replacement part that was missing! Very happy!
Doing an excellent job with no problems. Easy installation, best price available.
Delivered on time which when you're shipping anything g to Alaska is amazing. It's exactly what we wanted. Looks great and works as advertised. We bought it for a brand new travel trailer so we had the Dealership do the installation.
Product is as advertised. Good quality item.
Installation was pretty simple for the avid DIY person.
Instructions could use some more attention for the not so experienced persons.
I would have rated this a 5 star however due to missing screws I had to downgrade my review. Overall this product is great. The install went just fine until I realized I didn't have enough screws of several types to finish the install. The bag that held the screws was intact so QA from the manufacturer is a little less than desirable. I should have counted each individual screw quantity before I started the install.

This awning should come with enough hardware to do the job. Even when packaged from the manufacturer mistakes can happen. I will have our Customer Service team reach out to you.
Just about finished install today with only the screws to hold fabric in the rail left after making sure everything is aligned. I installed this by myself with scaffolding but sure would've been easier with one more person. One safety pin was very hard to remove from the roller as somehow the invisible end was bent and I had to use vice grips and a hammer to finally pull it out freeing the fabric. No reason that should have happened as that end of the pin wasn't visible.

Installed three on my present trailer and they work fine keeping trash off the slides and shading the roofs in the sun. Had help to install the larger two and studied the bracket situation quite a while as the new brackets didnt fit one of my locations due to their size. The old ones worked fine which were ordered seperately.
Jo Ann was helpful in the sale of this product. The delivery on the other hand was not what I expected. It was not delivered to my house I like was told. I had to go to the post office to pick it up. Not sure why any company would ship a 7Ft Item by USPS. It did come in one undamaged I am missing some hardware. Will try to get that at the local hardware. That is way the lower score. The topper is very nice.
Slide cover was easy to install. Etrailer was very helpful when I ordered.
I just installed this Solera Slide Topper on my 2018 Aerolite 242BHSL. The product seems great so far. The only thing I would say needs improvement is the installation instructions. The very last written instruction was to remove the pins meant to keep tension during shipping. There are no photos of this process and I believe they should be removed earlier in the install process. I had to move my slide in and out till I found just the right distance to unroll the topper and align the brackets on the slide. Once the pins were removed it worked flawlessly so far.
Response to customer problems is excellent. Products shipped by them are packaged by the manufacturer. I have received two items from the same manufacturer with almost identical problems. It was something that I could correct but was disappointing. Again, it wasn't the fault of etrailer.

Its working as intended. To prevent a potential problem the companies making the awnings should put flags on the spring release pins as a reminder that they are locked.
We purchased five solera slide toppers for our fifthwheel they are the best additions to our rig we couldn't be happier. The installation was a breeze with the etrailer video. The inside of our trailer stays much cleaner with this product. And they look great.
Sorry for the long delay but here's a couple of quick images of the slide topper. Product was identical as described, shipped quickly and easy to install. Installation brackets and fasteners we're spot on! Thanks for everything and again what an awesome product.
Sales people are very helpful. Installed very easy.
Unfortunately we had a bad experience with these awnings. I installed them exactly as the Lipert videos instructed.I even went inside to view the videos several times as not to make any mistakes. The awnings worked fine for a while, I had purchased 3 of them. We went on a 5 week trip to the west and about half way through, 2 of the were stating to have a hard time opening. We had to push on the slide out from inside to get them to go out correctly as the strain from the awnings were pulling the slide out. Upon our return, I contacted etrailer and they agreed to exchange if we shipped them back to them. I was able to fabricate a long box from 4 [online]l lamp boxes and was ready to ship. To our surprise the cost of shipping would be $1652.72. I contacted eTrailer about this and they said they could not help. I'm not sure how etrailer is able to ship it to me and still make a profit but this sucks. I recommend not buying this sort of item from etrailer. Go the your RV dealer, it may save you a lot of grief.

I reached out to Lippert who suggested to uninstall and reinstall the toppers. It should not be hard to push the slide topper out. It could be a bad spring or one that has seized that would need to be replaced.
Here are some pics of the Solera 7.5 Slide Awning installed on a Palomino Solaire 205 SS.
Everything went well. Easy to install. It is a great product!
[Thumbs up]
As usual, friendly service staff. Good experience.

Our slide-out awning is still functioning perfectly. Since I had loosened the tension a bit I was concerned about it maintaining good tension over time. No problem. Still perfect! There is no noted degradation of the canopy or hardware. Thanks!
