These custom clips and pads let you mount Yakima BaseLine towers on your vehicle with a naked roof. Clips attach to hooks in tower assemblies, and pads clip to bottoms of towers.

Specs:
DropHook System Installation
Custom-fit BaseClips let you mount BaseLine towers (sold separately) to your vehicle with a naked roof. To install, remove the tower's cover, open the gray door inside the assembly, and attach the clip to the DropHook inside.
The clip adjusts on 3 axes during installation to ensure a perfect, secure fit on your door jamb. Once the tower and clip are seated correctly, simply tighten the clip down, close the door, and replace the cover.
The included molded rubber pads protect your roof from scratches and abrasions. The pads easily clip onto the bottoms of the towers and are specifically designed to fit the shape and contour of your roof.

I'm a repeat customer at etrailer several times now, and with good reason. They have provided what I needed in terms of both product and assistance reliably and promptly. The best online supplier I have found.
The clips are very easy to install and good fit on my 2020 Ram 1500.
Rack is still on the car one year later. Yakima doesn’t have a replacement cover for the tower, which is flimsy.
I was able to use these clips to mount a roof rack and roof box on my Audi that had a naked roof, and they did the job! I took it on a 1,200 mile road trip and after I returned there wasn’t any damage to the paint, and even though there are rubber inserts on the inside of the clip to prevent scratches I was still a bit surprised.
If you don’t have roof rails on your car, these definitely help!

I was converting a roof rack from my Jeep Cherokee (factory rails) to my RAM 2500 truck (naked roof). While I could use my old Jetstream crossbars, I needed new towers and clips for the truck. There was an error in my original order, the representative thought she was sending me two pairs of clips. I understand the mixup because the Clip box said two meaning 2 clips rather than two pair. etrailer sent another pair immediately and waived the shipping. I like customer service is available and knowledgable. I would give them a five if they hadn't mixed up the first order.
Great!
They were fine. The rack fits like budd ah.
Very solid roof rack solution but the wind noise is mind-numbing. Ugh.
These parts are exactly what we needed as part of our roofrack kit purchased from etrailer. The website made it easy to search and find exactly the right product for our particular needs - mounting a rooftop tent onto a 2018 Chevy Cruze "naked" roof. We called for assistance and received excellent information to get our camping season started.
Thank you Tammie P for all your help in getting the right Product!!!
Hyundai Sonata - glass pano roof. These items have been on for about 1-year. So happy with the set up. I’ve take a road bike and a mountain bike on 500+ mile trips. The mounts do an excellent job.

2-years into owning my system: I have had the rack on the vehicle for 2-years and never removed it. Every 3-4 months i check the performance of the base clips and they have never come lose. I think best practice is to always check the stability of the rack however i have never had a problem and the system has always stayed tight and firm. Its been a great system for the vehicle.
