Open bars can whistle in the wind and vibrate as you drive. These aero-style crossbars use split rubber strips in the top channels to help reduce that wind noise and vibration. The shape of the bar and the filled channel keep airflow smooth, so long drives are quieter and more comfortable.
This rack is ready for whatever gear you want to bring along. The bars work with accessories that mount in the top channels or clamp around the bars. That means it’s compatible with most bike, watersport, snow, and cargo carriers—so you can haul kayaks in summer or load up a cargo box for your next road trip without swapping systems.
Some crossbars require cutting rubber strips when you install accessories. The split strip design here saves that step. You just slide your accessory into the channel and the strip presses back in place around it. It’s quick, clean, and keeps the bar sealed against wind and weather.
You can add Thule One-Key System locks (sold separately) to help deter theft of both the rack and any channel-mounted accessories. It’s an easy way to boost security for your gear when your vehicle is parked overnight or left at a trailhead.

How's it going neighbors Today we're gonna take a look at the Thule Wing Bar Edge and see how well it fits on our 2021 GMC Acadia. Now owning a Acadia, you already know that cargo space is at a premium and having a roof rack on top of your vehicle is gonna allow you to take advantage of that negative space to get those bigger and bulkier items out on the road. So let's take a closer look and see how well it fits and see what it's made of. The edge has a nice low profile that gives it a nice OEM look. As far as the materials that's used for the case, this guy is gonna have similar materials as your vehicle. So it's gonna deal with the hottest temperatures, coldest temperatures, designed to see it all.
And you also have an adjustable strap right in here that's gonna allow you to get really solid tension while still maintaining that low profile. If you want to use your T track, you absolutely can. You have a slot right here where you can access it and you can secure everything right here with the cover. Now, one thing that is super cool about this is the fact that this is gonna work for just about any rooftop accessory. You have plenty of clearance for any clamps, so if you were to go with the Sky Box or any type of rooftop accessory, you'll be good to go with this.
Now installation is really easy. All you're gonna really need is a tape measure and I'll show you how to get it done. So when you open your package for the towers, you wanna make sure that you're paying attention to the L and the R. I'm gonna go ahead and just throw the spring in the inside of our wing bar here, and in the cover of our bar, you'll have a left and a right indicating what side it it's gonna go with, and that's specific. You also wanna make sure that you put your shorter bar on the rear and the longer one on the front with the setup for the Acadia.
So now we're just gonna throw this to the side real quick and we'll get our end cap installed. And you can see it fits right there on the inside of our wing bar. And our spring is gonna go right on the opposite side of our keyhole, our lock core. Work it on in there. And now that's what's gonna allow you to have that outward tension.
Now from here we're gonna actually get our strap hanging on there. On the inside you're gonna have it a numbered strap, one through four, and you're just gonna find the hook underneath here. And this is what's gonna actually wrap around your raised rail. So I'm just gonna hook it in here on two and then we'll go ahead and head to the top. So now I'm just gonna reach across to the mounting point for my OEM bars and I'm just gonna press and let the springs put some tension in between. Now on this side, I'm gonna go ahead and slide that same bar in underneath. We're gonna go right here and just fish it underneath. Gonna swoop it underneath and we're gonna make a connection at the two hooks on the top. So now I'm gonna do the same thing over on the driver's side, and I'll just make sure I'm in position and then I'm gonna fasten it down using the tool on this bolt right here. As you fasten, you wanna make sure you're going back and forth from side to side because it has a tendency to pull, just so it's getting even tension. There we go. And you have an included torque wrench so you don't have to worry about over tightening. And you can see this guy is on nice and secure. Also, this is a good point to install your one key system. If you have other Thule accessories like the Sky Box or any one of the bike carriers that are out there, you just have one key for everything and now you're nice and secure. The wing bar kit is super easy to get set up. All you really need is a tape measure and you can really get by just eyeballing it on this guy once you get it set up and get a couple trips under your belt, let me know what you think because I love having that interaction with you. For XXX bucks I thought it would include the keys. Not plastic plugs. Instructions say it should have key. They even talk about how to store the key. My advice to anyone is buy it directly from dealer.
Directions were easy to follow and I was able to put the rack on my 2024 Lexus RXh in about 30 minutes.
One year in, this fit kit and the whole system have worked very well on my Kia EV6.
I miss the simplicity, in terms of cost as well as installation and removal, of the old Thule rectangular-bar racks, but this system looks better, is quiet, won't sag, and seems more robust.
Initially I was worried that I good not get a good Roof Rack configuration to match my 2022 Kia Telluride. When I asked etrailer for some assistance on the configuration, Jon was quick to reply with an excellent solution. He definitely knew the products. Unfortunately, my initial shipment was damaged but Gwen and team quickly got me replacements in the mail. I have received and installed all components and couldn't be more satisfied.
This "fit kit" from THULE does not impress me much. It does not sit flush with the roof rails of my 2021 Toyota highlander, doesn't really line up with the openings on the flush mount rails, and only attaches to the vehicle via one bolt at each of the 4 mounting locations. In that sense it's inferior to even the OEM toyota roof rack mount.

Put this on a 2025 Audi A6 Allroad. Seems very well built/sturdy. Looks great as well. Ni wind noise on highway. Fits my vehicle very well except that sunroof cannot open once in place. Maybe that is assumed with these type of things but still would have been nice to know in advance. Come with two different length cross bars but there is no mention of this in the instruction so no clear what the intended positioning is or if there is preference( i.e. longer one in front, shorter in back.
Overall seems like a great product that I look forward to using in the years to come.
Niiiiiice! Is what we say when we see the car now. The roof rack is well built. Instructions were easy- the letter specification to tighten the rack were a bit much. We had to adjust based on how things looked and jived with the car. Some soft cushion edging would not flush over the roof indentation edge, so we had to re-loosen and tighten the rack few times until all settled well. Bottom line, we wanted a solid rack that did not have overhang, did what it is suppose to, was low profile, and make the car look hot- check!!!! We are very happy! Best part about the entire experience however is etrailer. I swear, one might never need customer service or any help with their purchase, until they do. And what a customer service it is. Wow. It’s worth returning to etrailer for more business, purely because you want this business to do well and to remain in business and to show them how much we appreciate their excellent customer service.
