Hello, neighbors and friends. I'm Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at the Replacement Key for your Thule Racks and Carriers, specifically key number N2826. I know you're probably thinking, "Steve, how do I find out which key I need" Well, if you're not sure, on the Thule carriers and racks, you have a lock core. Engraved on the front face of the lock core, pretty much right next to where that key slides in, you will find an engraved number. That's the number that you're looking for.
Now, again, this will be one key. As you can see there, it's engraved 2826. You're getting one key, quantity one. If you need more than one, simply change the quantity in the cart. Add as many as you need.

So, it’s just a key but The customer service was amazing. I had an email questioning the number I gave and when I rechecked they were right, I gave the wrong number. Then another correspondence about a slight delay and they checked for an alternative (not available). Was shocked at the level of support for such a small order. I was very happy with this product. I got my cargo rack at a yard sale and it didn't have keys, so I ordered some from this site. I didn't know if they would fit or not, the number on the lock just said 2826, so this is the key I went with and it works great! And they shipped in a reasonable amount of time, too. I was recently on vacation in Florida. We were on a three day stay in Orlando, then two days in Daytona Beach. I realized on the second day in Orlando that I had somehow misplaced the keys to my Sportrack cargo carrier. Knowing that we'd be in for a very uncomfortable ride home with two kids without the use of the cargo carrier, I started a search online for replacement keys. Etrailer was the first site that popped up when searching for the key code I needed. I was elated to find that there were replacement keys for the Sears car top carrier. The carrier belongs to my brother and I've had it in my shed for years. It takes up a lot of room so I contacted my brother about it but it was useless to him without keys. I was preparing myself mentally to contact a locksmith $$$$. A Google search pulled up the desired information and here I am writing a review for this all important key. Now my brother can get his car top carrier out of my shed which will reveal much needed space. Thanks a lot etrailer. I am thoroughly satisfied!

I found that the etrailer.com was easy to navigate and submit an order for replacement keys for my luggage carrier. I received the keys within days. Key worked great and replaced the missing key for our old Sears Cargo carrier. We were using ratchet straps to "lock" it previously but now it's nice know the carrier is actually locked.
When we moved we lost the key to our car top carrier. That is a pretty significant loss and most companies will tell you that you either have to replace the entire lock or purchase a new unit. I ordered a key for my old Sears S Cargo cartop carrier because I could not find the original keys. I needed the key within a week of ordering as I was using the cargo carrier for a vacation trip. Replacement key was delivered and worked after a few turns with a pliers but then it loosened up and works fine now. the only think I would have done differently would be to have it shipped three day or less. The saver shipping takes 5-7 business days. Pay the extra money!
