This mounting clamp works in conjunction with a bottom mounting clamp to install your Thule Ride-On adapter on factory roof-rack load bars. The top mounting clamp serves as a mounting point for the clamp-on that holds your Thule square load bars.

Hello, neighbors. Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at a replacement top mounting clamp for the Thule Ride-On Adapter. That's right, folks. This will replace one, quantity one, top mounting clamp for your Thule Ride-On Adapter. And that adapter is part number TH532.

That's sold separately if you don't already have one, but you wouldn't be buying this if you didn't, right So it also works well with the bottom mounting clamp, that part number sold separately as well. And that's item number 753-2854. And I'll put that on the screen for you. So again, you're getting one top mount clamp. You do need the bottom one to match up to it if you don't already have it.

And you would also need the bolts and rectangle washers. All those hardware is sold separately. This is just the hard plastic direct replacement from Thule top clamp. And here's an image of the measurements on it. Two inches on center from the center hole to the left or right, and then four inches on center on the farthest two holes, and the whole unit is one and five-eighth inches tall.

Exactly what I needed. The existing mounting clamp broke on my snowboard rack and this was an exact replacement. Fast shipping and the emails etrailer sent kept me in the loop throughout the shipping process!

Product quality and price was great. Shipping time after purchase was also okay. Product was shipped via USPS which was atrocious. Took several weeks to arrive, package was sent to multiple post offices even within our state which delayed things even more. USPS tracking was also very poor, Not an etrailer issue but an indication of the state of the USPS. Which there were other reasonably priced shipping alternatives.

I never write reviews, but etrailer deserves it. They had those "hard to find parts" for super cheap, and got my order to me within a few days. I was missing my roof rack attachment clips to my Thule system. Couldn't Find them anywhere locally, eBay wanted $50+ for the whole kit... etrailer charged about $xx bucks. You do the math ! Definitely know where to come back and look next time.

    It would appear that the Replacement Top Mounting Clamp # 853-5267 and Replacement Bottom Mounting Clamp # 753-2854 are the correct brackets for your ski carrier. These brackets have a 4" on center bolt hole spread for attaching to the crossbars. Instead of purchasing the whole Mounting Kit # 7533998 you can just get a single top and bottom piece: - Top # 853-5267 - Bottom # 753-2854 If you need the hardware as well then I recommend just getting the set of 4 because you'll be getting much more for your money. Thule likes to sell things in bulk so when you start piecing things out it can get a little pricey.

    The Replacement Top Mounting Clamp for Thule Ride-On Adapter # 853-5267 is 4 inches wide on center from the outside holes. I have also measured the height at 1-5/8 inches as well as the center hole in relation to the outside holes. I've attached a photo to assist. As long as you have crossbars shorter than 4 inches wide (since the bolts will take up a little space) this clamp will fit as well as the Mounting Kit for Thule Flat Top Rooftop Ski and Snowboard Racks # 7533998.
