I have a 2010 Highlander Hybrid with factory installed rack and crossbars. These crossbars are much wider than the ones on my old vehicle, for which I used the THULE C5 clamp-ons. I was wondering if the 7533998 mounting kit, which this bracket is part of, would fit the wide crossbars on my Highlander.

The Replacement Top Mounting Clamp for Thule Ride-On Adapter # 853-5267 is 4 inches wide on center from the outside holes. I have also measured the height at 1-5/8 inches as well as the center hole in relation to the outside holes. I've attached a photo to assist. As long as you have crossbars shorter than 4 inches wide (since the bolts will take up a little space) this clamp will fit as well as the Mounting Kit for Thule Flat Top Rooftop Ski and Snowboard Racks # 7533998.
