Video Transcript for Hands-On with the Replacement Hardware Kit for Reese 5th Wheel Base Rails

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff with etrailer.com. Today I'm gonna take a look at the replacement hardware kit for the Reese 10-bolt fifth wheel base rails. Now, this part here will replace the hardware that's used to install your Reese above-bed fifth wheel rails to the frame-mounted brackets under the bed. Just wanna pop up an insert to show you there's one of the kits. It'll work on the Reese kits part number RP-30035, RP-30153 and RP-58058, and again that insert will show you one of those kits to show you the rails and the hardware and the mounting brackets that all come together.

This will come with everything that you need to secure a set of the above-bed base rails to a set of frame brackets. This hardware kit will include everything shown here on the table. Comes with the 10 grade-eight half inch by two inch long carriage bolts. The 10 washers right here, the 10 grade-five half inch by 13 hex nuts and then over here the two-inch-long, one-inch-wide five, 16 stick tall blocks, but that should do it for the review on the replacement hardware kit for the Reese 10-bolt fifth wheel base rails.

I friend of mine gave me his bed rails and 5th wheel hitch for my 2008 Tundra,,, all I had to order was brackets and a hardware kit to install. This kit was all I needed to mount the rails to the brackets that came from etrailer. Once again, etrailer has my 100% support with their

by:

I had understood this was a bolt/nut/spacer/washer assembly specifically for the brackets and the years of Toyota Tundra. If so, it should have come with two bolts (as opposed to stove bolts) for the front bolts on the front bed rail. Luckily, they were provided with the brackets (the only two rail bolts provided with the bracket kit. The position of the two front bolts for the front rail is too tight on the Tundra to be able to get any sort of wrench on the nut to give leverage to torque the bolt appropriately. But, you can install the bolt w/lock and flat washer from the underside and get a wrench on the bolt head and then torque the nut from above.

They fit truck just like they were supposed too. Couple hr install with having to remove spare tire and heat shields to get access to bolt locations. Been supporting fifth wheel through thousands of miles. Thanks for helping me find right product for my truck!

  • Parts Needed to Use ISR Base Rails in a 2018 Ford F-150 with 6-1/2' Bed
The correct custom bracket set and hardware kit for your 2018 Ford F-150 will depend on if you have 43" long or 48" long base rails. If you have 43" long base rails these are what is referred to as inboard rails and you will need to use part # RP50087 for the brackets and part # RP58430 for the hardware. If you have 48" long base rails these are what is referred to as outboard rails and you will want to use part # RP56034 for the brackets and part # RP58504 for the hardware.

  • Frame Brackets And Hardware To Attach 5th Wheel Rails To A 2015 Chevy 2500 Short Bed
Hi River! I can definitely help you out with that, just be aware that not all rails are the same and the ones you have should be part # RP58058 (Reese part 58058) for this to work properly. That said, I have the custom fit brackets and hardware to get the rails attached to the brackets for your 2015 Chevy 2500 short bed listed below: Reese Quick-Install Custom Bracket Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP50066 Replacement Hardware Kit for Reese 5th Wheel Base Rails - 10 Bolt # RP58504 If...

  • Recommended Base Rails to Install on a 2012 Ram 2500 to Use With a Reese Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch
We have a couple of different options for you to install base rails in your 2012 Ram 2500 to use with your Reese sliding 5th wheel hitch. The difference between the rails is how they are installed on your Ram. The Reese Semi-Custom Base Rail and Installation Kit # RP30035-186 is the most generic of the options that I have for you. The semi-custom brackets will let your install your 5th wheel hitch if your Ram has the overload springs, but it is not compatible with the Reese Elite Series,...

  • What Size Carriage Bolts Are Included With Reese RP58504 Replacement Base Rail Hardware Kit
I'm unsure of which bolts you're speaking of. If you're speaking of the hardware included with the Reese # RP58504 bolt kit which would be used for attaching 5th wheel base rails like # RP58058, the kit includes 10 each Grade 8, 1/2-13 x 2 inch carriage bolts. Also included are 10 Grade 5, 1/2-13 hex nuts and 10 each 2inch Long x 1 inch wide x 5/16 of an inch tall spacer blocks.

  • Installation Instructions for Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Install Kit for 2004 Dodge Ram 2500
It depends on which installation kit you have. The 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 short bed could use # RP30035-023 (but will not work on trucks with overload springs), kit # RP50140-58, kit # RP30035-186, or kit # RP56011-53. I have included links to the installation instructions for all of these kits for you. The mounting hardware is not meant to be reused. After torqueing down the hardware it will stretch and so it cannot be re-used. For replacement hardware I would need to know which kit you...

The manufacturer will tell you to remove the bed liner where the rails fit to ensure your system will work properly if the spray in liner is too thick in that location. Valley has been out of business for a while now, but the hitch and the rails will still work just fine as long as they remain operating properly. • Can 5th Wheel Install Brackets and Rails from a GMC Fit on a 2011 Ford F-150 with a 5-1/2 Foot Bed
First of all the rails will likely work for you. Although it could depend on if you need new brackets or not. We recommend combining rails and brackets from the same manufacturer so you'll want to use brackets that are the same brand as the rails. For example, if he has Reese rails, part # RP58058, then you want a Reese bracket kit. If he currently has a universal bracket kit, like our part # RP30439, then they will work with your truck. This kit works with virtually any truck however...

  • Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch and Rails Only for a 2012 Chevy Silverado 1500 Short Bed
Generally speaking if you have a short bed truck, like your 2012 Chevy Silverado 1500 with 6-1/2 foot bed, then you would need to use a slider hitch and not a fixed hitch. That is unless the trailer is very narrow or it has a tapered front cap that was designed to be towed by a short bed truck. Otherwise the trailer could make contact with the truck cab when making tight turns. If you already have frame brackets that you want to use then you would need to get the hitch and rails separate...
