Today, we're going to take a look at the replacement legs for the Reese M5 fifth wheel trailer hitch for the Ram trucks. These are custom fit part. They are designed to fit the 2013 and newer Dodge Ram and Ram 2,500 and 3,500 trucks with the eight foot bed and the OEM prep package. Now these are just the replacement legs that'll fit the Reese M5 trailer hitch. The hitch they fit on is the part number RP30918. We do sell that separately on our website and it is for the Ram factory fifth wheel towing prep package.
Once these are installed to the hitch, they basically, they'll just bolt on to the center section of a fifth wheel hitch and put this included mounting hardware and allows you to insert the complete hitch into the full receiver pucks that are built into that factory under bed rails, and the way you would install them.Now it does come with a nice set of detailed instructions on how to install everything, but then how to drop that hitch into the truck bed of the under bed system. All you have to do is remove this pin right here, rotate the lever out quarter of a turn, and that'll rotate the tabs right here at the bottom, and you'll do that on each corner. And then you'll drop it into the pucks that are in the factory under bed rails. And then once they're in there, you just rotate this back. You can see it turns the tab to lock it into position, and then you just put the pin and flip it right through there.
And again, you'll do that on each corner and that'll hold it into place. To remove it, you just do the opposite, take the clip out, rotate it out, and then you can lift it out.
