I had an old shower (1985) enclosure that had badly discolored handles. I removed them for cleaning but 1 of the stems had sheared off instead of freeing from the handle. I tried the local hardware stores and big box stores for a replacement to no avail, all recommended ripping out the wall and replacing the whole shower fixture. I found you guys on the internet and saw that you had the replacement part for the valve. I ordered two valve stems and was able to replace both the hot and cold handle stems for less that $15.00 with shipping. They fit perfectly and were made of a better material than the originals.
